It will automatically be if its the Director's Cut. Which is superior to the theatrical cut that was released on Blu in the UK.

I'm not sure though. I don't think The Good, Bad, and Wierd was the DC so I'm not sure how Thirst will turn out.

You're right, for some strange reason the Korean BD release is only the international cut.

See that doesn't make sense to me. If that's the case why not call it the Extended cut instead of the Director's Cut. Whatever, no big deal. The deleted scenes and extended ending were on the disc so it's not like I really missed out on anything.

i'd always hedge my bets that a korean issue of a korean film has more chance of being the better edition. should be the case, because nobody outside korea is going to have quite the same motivation.

also saddened and surprised that the release of a thirst came stateside before korea, and that a BD came out in the UK before even the announcement of the korea disc... i know CJ's like of BD's is new, but the timing is so precisely to the advantage of non-korean editions that things look all out of shape.

I've imported quite a few Korean DVDs, and the quality is typically very high (with unique and deluxe packaging and English subs for the movie). The Korean pressings tend to be in limited quantities, though, so they go OOP fairly quickly.

Exactly why I said earlier that it's best to buy them while they're available. It just gets more and more impossible to get as time goes on. Take it while you can get it folks.

I saw Tidal Wave...Haeundae.

I'll give it a B rating. It sold over 10 million tickets (became top 5 selling ticket of all time). It's a decent movie with CGI effects for a budget of $10 million. It's not a masterpiece or anything, but entertaining. The main action was toward the end of the movie so it was a little slow before action scenes.

I just enjoy watching the beautiful Ha Ji-won.

Personally, I enjoyed this movie more than 2012. I thought 2012 should have been 3012 with all the craziness and unrealistic scenes like car and airplane scenes through buildings LOL. Tidal Wave had some silly scenes, but not as far fetch as 2012.
