it wasn't that bad. I'm not like the pro's, most times hard is very hard for me, but Infamous wasn't bad. You go a little slower so you don't get swarmed and thats about it. you should be good.

It's really not so bad on hard. I'm no hardcore gamer, and I'm close to halfway through the story without reducing the difficulty, and I'm playing a hero, which I presume is inherently more difficult that playing evil. Some of the missions require a few tries, because you don't know which way the enemies are coming from or because you find yourself in spots without a way to recharge. Protecting people, like the bridge engineers, is the most difficult, I find. I think you accumulate xp more slowly, too.

Guys, I'm desparate now! In the warren, one of the satellite uplink missions. The one in the middle of the very south end of the island. I can not figure out how to get to the third. You have to cross over the canal to get to it. Anyone know a successful route?

http://guides.ign.com/guides/800208/page_90.html

It's side mission #2 on this map at IGN. I've been trying to cross the canal on the wire that connects to a pole across the canal, then jump off and jet to the building, but I keep getting slowed down on the building because it's full of terraces. I can't even come close within the alotted time.

Bad news, that IS how you do it.

I hated that side mission. Took me awhile, but I finished it doing EXACTLY what you are doing.

Just keep trying. You'll get it bro.

Need some trophy help.

Beat this game on HARD yesterday as a hero. Collected all dead drops, all blast shards and got all of the good karma trophies. Should be no sweat to mop up all of the rest on an evil playthrough, EXCEPT, I'm really hung up on some stunts. Particularly this splash and crash thing, where you lighting bolt an enemy on the way down then switch to thunder drop to take him out. I only got 15 of 21 stunts completed, so I don't even know what I'm missing. Probably some grenade sticking thing or thunder dropping on a conduit. Any assist on the splash and crash? It's been the next on the list for about half the game now.

Also, do the stunts all need to be performed in one playthrough for the trophy? That's a bit probablematic, if so. Everything else is simple, like thunder dropping for 750m, bioleeching (which I never did as a good Cole), or killing enemies from the trains.

Have to admit, the final boss battle was not the hardest of the game. The boss battles between the Warren and the Historic District were harder.

Splash and crash was my hardest stunt- took me a long time- some people do it from the ground instead of leaping off buildings too

How can you do it from the ground?

One of the big problems is that if you don't let go of the L1 button long enough after the lightning bolt, when you hit the square to thunder drop, you end up grenading yourself instead. Must've done this a dozen times.

splash and crash was easiest for me with the reapers since they have smaller health compared to the dust men and the first sons..

the stunt i'm having trouble with is "right back at you"
where you have to return and kill an enemy with their own grenade

**Edit
just got it this morning along with the stunt man trophy..
took awhile since it takes them forever to throw a grenade if you're doing one on one

now I only need to look for shards..I have like 29 left..now that there's that little, it'll be like looking for a needle in a haystack

I've done that a million times too... Not that its the greatest help in the world, but watch some infamous stunt compilation trophy videos on youtube- some guys have the ground method on there as well....

I heard alot of people had a hard time with Right Back at Ya- but i did that on accident several times early in the game just pushing waves at enemies all the time

Haven't checked Youtube, but it doesn't matter now. Got both Splash and Crash and Right Back at Ya during the first few missions of my second (evil) game. The biggest challenges I now face are Whack-a-Mole, crowd control (which I got by accident my first game) and the three at a time off a roof (which I am finding diffcult, as the rooftop enemies seem to keep their distance from each other). 25 kills from the train, 50 grenade sticks, then I just coast to the finish for platinum.

Sorry to double post (not really).

Which conduits are most suitable for Whack-a-Mole? Those Reaper conduits are very wily, and I can't jump on one. I've tried knocking them down first, too, but that doesn't unlock the stunt.

woot i'm on my evil playthrough..
finished hero and got all the shards and stunts w/o a guide or walkthrough

The conduits in the historic district is the easiest for whack a mole, as soon as you break their transformation it only takes one hit to take them out, you can do a thunder drop right from the ground

Got it last night. I think I only need one more stunt (it says 20 of 21, and I'm not sure if that means I'm working on 20th or have 20th), but I've been checking off everything I've unlocked, and I don't have lightning storm yet, so I can't do it. Besides that, just need to Bioleech enough enemies and finish the evil game and I'm platinum. I'm not sure I can squeeze it in before Heavy Rain arrives. Poor Bioshock 2 has to wait a while.

I'll probly get my platinum next week, then after that I'll just be waiting for final fantasy to come out.

20/21 stunts means you've done 20

'inFamous' has a soundtrack?...
Might be because, also of this game, I only played the Demo, but there isn't much to be heard in it...

inFAMOUS has an awesome soundtrack but a lot of it plays during heavy action so you don't always notice it, you experience it.

Quote:
SOUNDTRACK

Created by popular underground electronic musician Amon Tobin, and composers Jim Dooley, Mel Wesson, JD Mayer and electric cellist Martin Tillman to encapsulate the gritty and decimated nature of Empire City. The contributing musicians threw out all conventional standards of traditional music production, turning instead to real-life objects and materials found in urban environments such as trashcan lids and water jugs - bungie cords were stretched across a concert bass drum and strummed, wire brushes were beat on a suspended tuba and shakers were constructed of broken glass.

Check the sample.

Thanks, sounds interesting, love all the experimental stuff they do.
I did like the dark swells and such in the Demo simply during wandering around though.

I don't want to stick to inFamous for too long on this thread,
but would you know if the heavy Rock-track during the video after the Demo (or at the end),
with the same footage as shown in that video,
has anything to do with the same artists or is a band they hired for it?
Or perhaps even a pre-existing track.
That track's pretty awesome, not that it all needs to be heavy and loud for me.
But I'll probably have the game soon, so I can experience it better then.
