The Netherlands is very English orientated (just like the Scandinavian countries and Finland). Normally we watch movies in its original language. So no dub, but subtitles.

Further specs to be revealed. But most likely it does have the same specs worldwide as it is a Buena Vista/Disney release. So I EXPECT it has PCM English and English subtitles in this case.
I wouldn't pre-order them yet, because I think it will be released around the same time in the USA. If you really want to pre-order them, you could use these shops:

Further specs to be revealed. But most likely it does have the same specs worldwide as it is a Buena Vista/Disney release. So I EXPECT it has PCM English and English subtitles in this case.

Be carefull though. It are Dutch Filmworks versions. Not all titles will have the good aspect ratio. for example 16 blocks and underworld, which were recently released, were not 2.35:1, but cropped to 1.78:1. And not all were 24fps. Reservoir dogs did seem to have a great PQ (1080p 24) and AQ, and the same extras as the DVD.

Those titles will probably have DTS HD ma. But... 1408 for me if it has the Director's cut (which is doubtfull considering DFW). Maybe Hero (if it has a good transfer and director's cut).

These titles will not have English subtitles!

These are all recent editions and Dutch Filmworks has respected the original ratio on dvd lately.

1408 will be the Director's Cut and Hero just the theatrical release.
I hope that they have read the comments on their first batch and done something with it.

I will get them all exept The Good Shepherd which I find boring.

Don't know if everything in this list is correct, as it mentiones that Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is released in on 19 December, but it is already in the stores for some days now. I bought my copy on 26 November. (I live in the Netherlands)

I hope the respect the aspect ratio. But they failed quite a lot past years (Aviator, Underworld, Flyboyz, Lord of War... ). Therefor I am a bit cautious.

Do you know whether 1408 is the same transfer/disc as the German version? (Do you work for DFW in Gorinchem/Schelluinen?)

It is a pity Hero has the theatrical version only.

Hopefully the unrated version of Unleashed will be released soon (not the theatrical cut, which has been released on DVD). As well as the uncut version of Saw.

MSetten: It isn't 100% reliable. I also have POTC3. But it is the most complete list. Unfortunately the Simpsons would be delayed to february.

I don't know if 1408 is the same master as the german release but I doubt it.
As far as I know Flyboys should be 2.35:1.....

Dutch Filmworks will release several Blu-ray/HD-DVD discs every 3 months so I think you can expect at least these :

Saw it in two stores in town (next to Ronin, Species, Die Hard 1/2, Mask of Zorro, ...). So... yes it is! Didn't pick it up yet though.

Unfortunately no sign of Day after tomorrow. It should be out.

I bought Underworld on blu-ray. But is was verry disapointed because it was not recorded in 1080p. the highest resolution i got was 1080i

The box of the blu-ray said it was 1080p is anyone familiar with this?
It is a Dutch filmwork movie

The first batch of DFW releases were a mixture of specs. Many movies were released with the wrong aspect ratio and/or 1080p60 (PAL Speedup). The PQ wasn't that good also.

On Dutch forums I saw that the quality of Underworld wasn't that good at all. Unfortunately. DFW said the next batch of titles (incl. 1408) would have all 1080p24 and the right aspect ratio.
