Would I be able to get a new disc from somewhere if I got it from Amazon (UK) but live in The Netherlands.
Not the issue being that the store is in the UK and I'm in The Netherlands.
But that companies like Paramount are usually in the US.
So... yeah... might not be as easy to get a replacement...
Well... still, they should just send me one cause I paid for my product right. :P

Edit:
Meh, what am I talking about, most of you are probably in the UK right now?
Just being confused by the different forums here...
There shouldn't be any problems if you purchase from amazon UK. They will happily replace any faulty disks. I have read about some cases that amazon paying for the returrn shipment as well.

Hm, yeah but I already bought it a while ago to watch later, so I wouldn't know if I have a faulty one too... :\
I mean, I don't think they'd accept it with a purchase from months ago?

Funny though, I returned this same box twice for a new one because one had a ridiculous cut in it.
I would think someone cut it with a knife at Amazon.
Then the next one was all scratched up underneath the sealant.
This one also has some sort of scratches, not as bad, but I'm done with sending them back.
Can't believe it, 3 out of 3 damaged... two were probably resealed too...
The ones I sent back will probably be sent to someone again...

This is a risk that all of us take when we do not (straightaway) watch the disks that we purchase. I think I have been just lucky on this.

I know this is slightly off topic. But it seems the godfather is coming back to the cinema! Surely this going to be a true high high high! def experience!

Personally I never got to see the original god father film in the cinema, this was due to the fact that I was born yet. So I may go see it when its out.

If any ones interested..

http://www.cineworld.co.uk/films/2897 and

http://www.parkcircus.com/uk-releases/

The trouble is, its only a limited amount of cinemas. But im defaintly up for this

Yeh, I guess so... -_-
Well, I guess it's a small risk still, I usually do see how the release is for people.
But then sometimes problems still show up, like now, even though it's been a best-seller.
The bigger risk would be to keep pre-ordering things though,
which I only did once with a BD-release (not this one) but probably never again.

Aha, that's pretty cool, I'm also too young to have caught it.
Well, except the third I guess, but I'd have been too little to get.
Unless my parents would have showed me the first two on VHS. LOL
I guess I won't be able to see it at a cinema though,
unless some of the bigger ones I can reach will do the same.

They should do that for many more films though.
Especially ones that have to do with a current event for example.
Liiike... I don't know, they could have shown all 'Indiana Jones'-films for the fourth.
Would have sold like crazy too.

I recently purchased a brand new boxset of the godfather from ebay. And at a good price.

After watching the first movie i put the second film on, every thing is going fine up until 1 hour and 41 minutes, and it then completely freezes all the way up until 2 hours and 10 minutes. It plays ok after that point. Has any one else came across this problem? Im sure I have a faulty disc.
I bought the godfather from the hut, had the problem with the second disk doesnt play between 1.41 and about 2.10, so sent it back and got my replacement today and it has the exact same problem, I was using my ps3 to watch the movie.

Looks like it is from a bad batch. Perhaps it is good to inform them straightaway so that you can get one from the next batch.

That's interesting actually.
As quite an amount of people don't even really like the third(?).
I'm not sure why, but it's probably that "it's a good film but not ás good" or something.
And they just released them in one bulk anyway.
It became a best-seller, but interestingly they didn't release separates yet.

Anyway, methinks they might as well just cut out the sleeves at one packaging-line
and then only have the 3 films sealed and sold.
Unless that leaves them without or not enough the extras, you know, the 4th disc...

Thats a pitty. The trouble is if they have one faulty disc, then its highly likely the other copies are from the same batch.

I guess you cant really test it out on a pc bluray player or a tv one?
