Yep.
That said, since this is in the public domain, shouldn't we see a flood of low-budget home video companies put out shoddy blu-ray versions in the near future? That's what happened with DVD, there are about 900 versions available....I wonder how long it will take before there are as many blu-ray versions on the market in the States. The trick is finding a good version amongst the crap. I still have the old Elite DVD, which has held up OK over the years. |

If you wanna get a great copy of "Night of the Living Dead" for now, get either of the Elite Versions, yes they are DVD's, but the print quality is superb and they are approved by Romero himself
, steer clear away from the so-called 30th Anniversary DVD from Anchor Bay, the original soundtrack has been replaced with crappy synthesiser music! GRRRR |

so, I'm still a little confused here but is NOTLD available in Bluray for Region A or not. Since it is not clear that I can purchase this Region at Amazon I'm assuming it's not. Can't find a firm release date either. Does anyone know?

I am hopeful a quality US release will come along eventually, as I'm not happy with either UK version. |

So my choices are:
A) Import a version with crappy audio and video B) Get a region-free player so I can watch a version with better audio and video, but is slightly cropped C) Wait for the American release (which has no set release date so far) It's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario, but I think I'll be waiting for the inevitable American release. |
