Just received my copy of The Crow

Since the thread is being kicked around . . . I've never imported a title before. Any places that are usually better on price than others? $54.99 for the Japanese version seems about the norm from the few places I've looked.

I've got the UK version of this (the crow) and was quite underwhelmed.

Might ebay it and wait for a better US release.

I ordered The Crow and Halloween (2007) r-rated cut from Japan and both are very pleasing

I'm sure the UK version won't be that bad!

I always order from the amazon stores, I've had great experiences with both amazon.co.jp and amazon.co.uk

Yeah, Japanese releases are high everywhere. $55 for this (shipping included) is the average price.

The UK and Japanese discs are taken from exactly the same master. It's the encoding that differs, with the Japanese disc obviously winning out. That said, those people saying that the UK disc looks terrible are either internet parrots or have tvs that can't interlace 1080i material properly. It doesn't look that bad!

It hasn't been released in the U.S.

The best release is from Japan. You can order from Amazon.jp:
