Same here. Slip covers rule and a slipcover ws the determining factor for me to buy The Terminator this week.

I picked up Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 and Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe early at my local BB. I was there last night and no such luck with Ghostbusters though.
Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Your jealousy really is pathetic.

I'm surprised you were able to pay for it!,usually stuff put out accidentally before release day wont scan at the register until that day,the cashier must have punched it in manually, anyway I'm glad to see you got it! nice to see that I comes w/ a slipcover too!

Maybe things have changed.
One of my friends and one of my neighbors both work for Best Buy and they say the exact same thing. They never get their stock until right before release dates. Funny how all of these other BB's magically get their shipments a week in advance.

Best Buy routinely puts catalog new releases out for sale a week prior to the street date. I've always thought that they have some sort of silent agreement with most of the studios to do this.

My store gets new releases a few days before but the media employees are very serious about not putting stuff out because they dont want to get sued.

For example a when advent children came out last week on a tuesday, we had some copies of it in the back on friday.

I don't know if this is a Best Buy exclusive but yesterday I was able to grab Iron Maiden Flight 666 for $14.99 while most internet stores have a street date of July 7. For this price I just could not resist.

I am over the movies at Target ... we get stuff anywhere from the Tuesday-Monday before release.

I am super good about not letting stuff out early ... but if another store puts something out early, I don't care to take advantage if you know what I mean haha.

The BB where I am gets their new stock in almost a week before it is supposed to come out. However, they usually don't put out anything until it is supposed to be shelved.

Isn't the first and obviously not last that a catalog title is on the shelf early. Why do people flip when they see one early?????

One of the Best Buys in New Jersey broke street date often. I used to have DVD's three and our days before the release date. It was the only place that did it, too.
