I would definately buy all the movies, but only ST: Voyager and maybe TNG for series. Not a huge fan of TOS or DS9. Bought the movies on DVD when the 10 pack came out, and loved the textual commentary that ran during the movies. (It's like VH1s pop up video, where a little text bubble pops up during a scene) I've actually started looking at more movies to see if they have that, it's so much better then listening to somebody babbling on during the movie! Hopefully they keep that special feature in the Blu releases.

If they intend to release this on Blu-ray then they better get them completely digitally remastered because they looked a bit soft and blurry on DVD. I love all the films but particulay 1-4. And they need the most work.

The early movies do really deserve better releases on DVD, but I'm pretty sure the Blu-ray's will do well; Paramount has a history of getting better with experience (as far as disc mastering goes). There is a really strong fan base - legendary fan base for these.

These and the new Stargate movies are my most anticipated upcoming releases.

Did you really need to share that with people in this thread who will surely be fans of Star Trek? What you have just done is what is known as "threadcrapping":
http://forum.blu-ray.com/faq.php?faq...forumrulesfull
"Don't threadcrap. In other words don't go into a thread about golfing and post "golf sucks" etc. It's unconstructive and it insults people who like golf."

I think it will be awesome if they produce a boxset of all the ST movies to release with the new movie next year, I'd buy it on release day and watch them all through from the first one onwards.

"Not buying, I have a sex life."...

Hell I must be natures greatest miracle...

I like Star Trek.. FireFly, Space above and Beyond, Babylon 5 and Battlestar Gallactica... and I still manage to get some regularly..

I'd be voting for all the FILMS plus in theory all the boxsets but I can't honestly put myself down for those because I know they'll want a ton of cash for those and I'm not prepared to pay obscene money. If they start popping up on ebay in years to come second hand then I'll probably start my collection of episodes off but not till then.

Paramount better look at this thread and get to scanning in TNG's film stock asap.

Off Topic, but River Ridge rocks. Got my son in school near there.

But yeah Wrath of Khan definately is the top of the list for any ST purchases. I think it was the first time I ever saw the 3rd dimension used in space. Lets go up! Instead of facing head to head on a 2d plane. Oddly though not many other space series seem to use it.

Nothing public I'm afraid.

I'm told it looks great though, but I wouldn't be suprised if the next-gen movies hit first

A bit harsh, but I guess it's a stereotype, which I expect others to level at Star Wars types too.

Personally I am looking forward to some of these films, and yes, I do have a life, a good one actually.

Will definitely buy DS9, currently it is the only ST series I have. Might buy TNG or Voyager but wont be the whole series, probably just the later seasons. Definitely buying the TNG movies though Data is hilarious in those after he installs his emotion chip

Maybe after watching Generations the first time it was a little funny but imo, after multiple viewings I found his humor to be quite annoying. Even Geordi was annoyed with him on the space station.

I'm glad he shut it off in First Contact.
