More than likely it will be a port from the HD DVD version. Therefore, it should have a TrueHD track just like The Perfect Storm. But, there is not official word.

Actually, I did see what appeared to be compression artifacts in some scenes with red in them... But that was when I was using DVI so it could've been the HD-A1 using the standard def color set up or whatever in the crap that crappy A1 thing did...

Yeah, hate on HD DVD. Besides there is no picture difference noticeable. Only if there was a huge film release with 4 hours blu ray would win if it was on one disc. Other than that Blu ray is better due to the sound.

There were noticeable picture differences between the two formats. Maybe if you were watching on a 32" LCD there were no differences, but watch on a 110" screen fed by a top of the line projector. Michael Bay, who had movies released on both formats, certainly thought there were differences in picture quality between the two formats...

Which Michael Bay movie was released on both formats? Oh, you mean Transformers on HD-DVD and The Rock (or possibly Pearl Harbor) on Blu-ray. Sorry, you can't directly compare two different titles.

Michael Bay has multiple movies released on both formats. On his own website he said that the Blu-ray versions of his movies got closer to the original film master than the HD DVD versions. Go read some of his statements around the time he finds out that the Blu-ray version of Transformers wasn't coming out back in October of 2007.

Movie Size : 16,665,464,832 Disc Size : 20,609,980,670 Average Video Bit Rate : 12.69 Though Troy had lower AVBR it was remastered that ain't the case with V which looked only slightly better on HD DVD.

I just heard back from Warner Home Video, so consider this confirmed:
Both V for Vendetta and The Perfect Storm WILL have English Dolby TrueHD audio on the U.S. Blu-ray releases.
