The film contains a great John Barry score for sure, but I am surprised it got a Dolby TRUE HD audio.

This film is a classic. And this Blu Ray is a keeper!

It seems that most 1.85:1 ratio films seem to almost always fill to 1.78:1 and sometimes what the companies list teh most basic ratio closest to what it is. so some can be misleading.

Not trying to read into your post but probably what you are suggesting is that there is more of an audience for Get Smart and Speed Racer than Body Heat...that said, those have a lossy audio track...and Body Heat lossless. I'm a pattern person and I can't really find one how Warner makes their audio decisions. Maybe a space issue?

Body Heat was one of the movies I saw when I was a young lad, back when Kathleen Turner was ...the movie came out in 1981, but I probably saw it around 86 or 87.

Would it have made more sense if they just did DD on this and give Speed Racer Dolby TruHD...but we all know that its all about double dipping.

BTW...Kathleen Turner was hot in this....

Default BB Pricing

Just FYI if you look up Body Heat currently on bestbuy.com if pulls up a 14.99 On ale price!

So that means you can pick it up at the store for 14.99. If it happens to ring up above that price take it to customer service and tell them you want to match the .com price of 14.99 and they will.

I saw this movie for the first time a few months ago on DVD. I really enjoyed it. Just my two cents.

At Amazon at the moment for $14.95. For me that's without sales tax and free shipping, so I'll save my gas money and let Body Heat make its way to me.

Body Heat (1981) is based on the 1944 classic, Double Indemnity. They should have released both of them in one package.

I think it is best to say it was inspired by "Double Indemnity," not based on it or the novel.

Thanks for mentioning the price. I just put an order into Amazon for it (along with L.A. Confidential).
