Why (when things get a little heated) does everyone hold against me the fact that I am European ? is freedom of speech restricted for Europeans ?

Not heated. You tossed the stone, mate. Last I checked, freedom of speech is harder to come by in places in Europe than in my country. Perhaps if you don't want to side with Uncle Sam you can give up that NATO thing in your city and fend for yourself.

You know what ? those two pics in the thread, the one where the lady's breasts are censored with blood. I couldn't make a better point. I mean using blood and all the violence it represents to cover nudity which is natural.
Ok I see you think freedom is free I guess uncle sam should have stayed home during that whole nazi take over the world thing.

See, I wasn't gonna go there but I did wonder how freedom of speech (like politcal speech) was holding up in Russia, Germany and Georgia these days. I did also wonder how much freedom of speech of any kind can go on in Georgia.

Much as I would love to continue this thread on who has the most freedom of speech, I can't. We will be censored faster than your country can invade another one. so let us leave it there.

See, censorship isn't bad in the private industry, i.e. blu-ray.com. I suppose if the pu55y nations of the world would have let us finish the job when one country evaded a sovereign nation in in the 90s we wouldn't need this conversation. I guess they were content to leave a murdering tyrant in power so they could sell things to.

Love live Blu-ray!

Only those that think it can't repeat. Gosh that reminds me of a quote from history! Well never mind - it can't matter.

I think you mean '"invaded" and yes sure that nation is so much better off right now with the Religious sectarian violence. keep looking for weapons of mass destructions as an excuse it has worked so well.
oh and of course you did that job for the good of people, not for oil ...

Thank-you for checking my spelling. Since you bothered, your use of "destructions" doesn't agree ; "Religious" isn't a proper noun; you need a comma between [r]eligious and sectarian; and the only reason there wasn't sectarian violence before because those people died without trial.

Long live religious, sectarian violence in HD on Blu-ray!

BTW, we don't have to agree on things. That's why you have your government and I get to have mine. I defend my borders and umm, gosh yours too. Wait a second!

Oh, I tried to think of something we could agree on and maybe bond with but I remember now - you are in Belgium and don't like beer! Shall we talk Blu-ray? What player are you looking at next?

Thank you for defending our borders and thank you for liberating us 60 years ago. Just cause I disagree with certain things nowadays does not mean I forget history if you please. But if you liberated us and now you hold against us the use of free speech then its all a big waste of time don't you think ?

Maybe I am returning the favor in a small way by shaking you up a little. freedom can be lost when tyrants invade us like it happened 60 years ago but it can also be lost in more subtle ways under the cover of laws and patriot acts and all that stuff. So call your congressmen and show them you as the people of your big nation keep an eye on them as was intended by your founding fathers if I'm not mistaken

Peace friend

I'm not trying to shut you up. Speak away. Free speech doesn't give the speaker the right to gag the opposition. Free speech is having an opposition. We do uphold our treaties and oft to our detriment.

Edit: I didn't bring up WW II. I know that we probably wouldn't have entered the war until far later when the threat became real to our hemisphere but a different Axis power took care of that. I hold no illusions about foreign policy. Countries use it for self benefit and self preservation as it should be. I believe my country has gotten into a lot of trouble practicing foreign policy and war when it was for other country's benefit.

That's right, I don't like beer so I must also fight my beer opinion with my fellow Belgians LOL

as for player, you mean Bluray player ? if so then none as my PS3 works fine and players being very expensive, good ones at least, I will stick with my PS3 for as long as possible.

I'm an admitted snob. The PS3 is in the play room with the poker table, dart board, the three flatscreens for sports and the bar. Btw, I do like Czech beer also. You should try their Pilsners. I forget where they are from. Last time I was in the Republic I had an interesting discussion with a nice Frenchman who thought it a good idea for the whole world to have a vote on the US Pres. I can say it went a lot worse than our small exchange.

LOL

Well your election is very popular worldwide it's in the news everywhere. So yeah sometimes over here we debate it and get a bit passionate about it. There is more at stake than in our own little elections who are meaningless on an international scale.

Wow dude, 3 flat screens, a poker table, a dart board and a bar ! You have to let me come over. We can have a nice little argument while enjoying the poker table and the bar
