The Director's Cut (135 mins against 115mins for the Theatrical cut) will be for sure available in the US (plus, the blu-ray will be region free !)

I guess I'll hangfire for the moment but when release draws near if no concrete information is available I'll cancel my order with Play and ensure I get the extended from somewhere.

It's interesting that on amazon.com the runtime is 135 mins, and on amazon.uk is 115 mins, even tho it says its an extended version. Still no runtime on Play.com for the steelbook.

For one please stop quoting amazon for blu-rays. The US blu-ray is warner and the UK will be sony. Going by what sony did with angels and demons sony might do the extended cut. Amazon UK and US so far to date have never listed the correct specs and amazon UK so far to date have not listed the correct runtime for blu-rays only the DVD runtimes so please don't quote amazon UK anymore.

i can confirm the EXTENDED cut is 118 Min.

they simply added some NUDE scenes, that might have resulted an R rating in the US....

the DVD will only be theatre cut....

Mmm you've seen it I guess?! The cut is the same?! No different scenes?! So they added one BR just for 3 ****ing minutes?! This is a joke.

Reports say that the extra scenes include Moon Bloodgood doing a topless scene, and a graphic shot of someone getting stabbed with a screwdriver.

It should be a blast on blu-ray... I enjoyed the movie, not the best terminator but great effects on the big screen which should look fantastic...

A measly extra 3 minutes?! What sort of extended edition is that??

I hope they are not holding off a proper extended edition for a later release.

Remember this is the UK/Europe. We originally already get quite an uncut version of movies compared to the US, so our Director's Cuts or Extended Editions are usually only a few minutes more.

This will become the new trend in bluray, they release one version then another with better sounds, another with both better sound & extended cut..

Its driving me mad, the only option is as a consumer is not consume.

So much for;

Nice one McG. So this extended version will just "convolute" whats left of the story.

Well we're getting A extended cut, but I don't think it's THE Director's cut, as it still rated 12
