You'd have to import to get the 2-disc in a standard case. Or wait a couple of months, since The Wizard of Oz will be released in a standard edition as well.

My Walmart.com preorder of UCE shipped last night. Guess they wanted to make sure I didn't cancel if Walmart B&M got a 2-disc version. (Not necessary, WM; if there ever was a box o'swag I actually wanted, it's this one.

Just reread the digitalbits news update and they say the box set is 4 disc so the Target version has the Movie and the extras; minus the goodies, Cd sampler and the Lion Roars DVD which are in the box.

The UK GWTW shipped on fri (£13.03. & shipping £16.11.= total US $26.91). If it's the same Warners 2-disc at Target ($36.99+t), I'm happy. (The UK one seems to have the original poster cover) Otherwise I'd get the Target one (ad says 2-disc and has a photoshopped cover.)
Why does Warners have to play sneaky-poo instead of showing their cards ahead of time. It's a game to let us have choice while we think we don't have a choice. I would have bought domestic if I could known. |

Way overpriced for the Target version. I'll probably go with the Wally World one.

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.ph...2&postcount=90 Look at the picture of the back of the case...it only lists the audio commentary, which is the only special feature on the first disc with the film....if this set included the second BD which is loaded with bonus features, why wouldn't they list any of them on the back? Wouldn't that be a great selling point to mention? |

Anyway these ads are not made with the interest that 'fans' might expect. The Target price is similar as before and I'll bet has 1 disc for the film, one for the extras and maybe the exclusive Lion Roars.... and just maybe the music CD We hope for the best |

That, of course, is on top of the photographic evidence that strongly suggests the Target version is only one disc. (It doesn't prove it 100% since they didn't open the package & part of the front label is unreadable; but the back label is almost conclusive, especially in light of Walmart's WoO.) But whether it's one disc or two, $34.99 is clearly too much to pay when (a) you can get the UCE for just a little bit more and (b) we already know it'll be $12.99 on Black Friday. |
