Thanks for the info! I really like the cover art and I love the film. I didn't expect great PQ, so a 4 isn't bad. The audio aspect is a bit depressing, although the film isn't meant to be a surround sound film, like action movies are. I'm debating about just waiting for an American release, although who knows when that will be. I'll have to think about it but thanks so much for the info!

    Hi Josh!

I just received and finished watching The Deer Hunter. PQ is 4/5 but the SQ is problematic - the DTS HD Master Audio 5.1 track is off in pitch and you can hear it from the start of the music. Sadly, I just couldn't listen to it with that track engaged because it really does sound bad. The DTS HD Master Audio 2.0 track doesn't suffer from the same problems. It will play on an American PS3 or any other player which is Region A or B. It has a mixture of both English and French (you can add subtitles when needed) supplements and Director commentary track. I'm glad I bought it and highly recommend it since I know you would like to own it.
