My favorite Noir films I have seen to date are as follows:

It's not on Blu yet, but for what it's worth I highly recommend 1947's Nightmare Alley. It's one of the great yet-undiscovered masterpieces of American Pulp. Brilliant karmatic darkness going on, with loads of moral ambiguity. Saw it in a revival theater recently and every soul was riveted. That hasn't happened to me at a screening in years.

Doesn't Eureka MOC have a DVD edition of Nightmare Alley out? I have not seen it yet, but it's on my must see list on film noir.

I still need to see Out of the Past. Love just about anything Mitchum is in, and am looking forward to Pursued be released from Olive films. It is a Noir flavored Western from what I understand.

Watching The Big Knife this morning. Robert Aldrich made this the same year he made Kiss Me Deadly. (1955)

I'd have to put Sunset Blvd. near the top of my list, Gloria Swanson is so amazing in that film - "I AM big. It's the pictures that got small". I hope Paramount does it justice for the Nov. BD.

And Maltese Falcon and Key Largo. I sure wish Warner would bring Key Largo to BD, but I think it likely needs some restoration - PBS recently broadcast it in HD and it still looked like crap.

Yes, Key Largo and Out of the Past deserve top notch BD releases.
