Hello! I saw that you reviewed Get Out's HDR UHD release, and was wondering if, to your eyes, did skintones by any chance look redder or ruddier than the SDR Blu-ray version's? I'm asking cuz I'm currently in the process of calibrating my HDR picture settings and whenever I seem to get saturation to a level that seems to match that of SDR presentations (for whatever reason on my TV, HDR's default settings are pretty desaturated) the skintones in Get Out look, while not necessarily bad, definitely redder and occasionally a little bit uneven, so I was just asking so I could maybe suss out what's the disc and what's my settings.

    Good morning.

Is there any discussion as to whether blu-ray.com will specifically designate discs which are hard-coded at Dolby Atmos 7.1.4?

I think it's something that should definitely be noted, as for those who have the capability of a higher channel count, this seems to be muting any channels above and beyond the 7.1.4, and eliminating the object-based nature of Atmos.

The Dolby Atmos standard goes to 24.1.10, and for some studios (DISNEY) to be limiting the users' capability of achieving that standard is worth noting.

Hi Martin. Greetings from Australia. I have just read your review for the 4K Gladiator. Based on your observations with regard to video quality, you gave the 4k 4/5 while giving the Blu-ray 5/5. Did you mean that to be the other way around? Many thanks. Just a thought ... John.

So glad my buddy Marty is handling my favorite movie reviews in 4k. I used to message you back in the early bluray days. Loved your Braveheart and Saving Private Ryan 4k reviews. I just watched SPR 4k last night and loved it. Cannot wait for Braveheart next week!

    Hi Martin,
In reference to your Saving Private Ryan UHD review, you state an AR of 1.78:1, with an original AR of 1.85:1. Does this mean the disc is 1.85:1 and your changed the AR on your screen to 1.78:1?
    Thanks, Bill.

We represent VIZIO for tech PR and I would like to discuss picture quality advantages you're seeing with Dolby Vision Blu-rays.

    Martin:

First off thank you so much for the UK 3D Blu-ray reviews! Iím a big supporter of 3D and itís a damn shame itís fading away in the states. Itís awesome to know there are people out there like you willing to give insight to 3D enthusiasts.

I saw you mention in response to another reviewerís message to let you know if we have any requests for UK 3D Blu-ray reviews. I hope Iím not jumping too far here but is there any way you could get your hands on the UK 3D Blu-ray of Despicable Me 3 to review? I enjoyed the film and didnít get the chance to see it theatrically in 3D so I was curious to know whether or not the added dimension does the film justice. I completely understand if you are unable too I just figured no harm in asking

    Thank you!

Thanks for reviewing "Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge 3D Blu-ray". If you think that you have any influence on Disney, please inform them some of us are very unhappy with there current lack of 3D releases in the states.
    Thanks.

Hi! Another thank you for reviewing the region free 3d imports. I've been getting them this way for quite awhile now. Nice to see a review on them.
