Hahaha. I'm glad she did. I saw your comment about me picking up Jupiter Ascending.

Oh yeah. I remember watching Bad Boys II about a year after it came out on DVD or so. Just re-watched again this year and even though it is flawed and tastless, I still get a kick out of it. Meanwhile, Freddy Got Fingered is one of the examples where I know I'll weird looks for even saying that I like it, but the sheer strangeness of it is almost kind of amazing. Even the NY Times and The AV Club would agree.

Same can't be said for this f***ing pile of nonsense I'm suppose to call a movie, though. Thank god I just re-watched Robocop right afterwards to basically cleanse my soul.

I'm going to be doing some of that in the future, along with watching stuff that I might actually enjoy. Playing catch up with what I can that has come out this year. Kicking it off with Chappie and doing a whole slew of other films like Mr. Holmes and Tomorrowland.

I know one thing is for sure: If you watched it, you'd hate it lol.

Sincere and entertaining but stupid as hell. For every positive I can find for the movie, I can find a negative. The dinos were undeniably the highlight of the movie, especially the final shot. Was disappointed with the film's score, seeing how Michael Giacchino is one of my favorite composers (his remixes of the core Jurassic Park themes were pretty impressive, though).

As I was watching it, I couldn't help but think back to two films in particular: Godzilla 2014 and Mad Max Fury Road. The former because I honestly got a more Spielbergian vibe from that than this and the latter because if FR and JW got into a fight, Fury Road would beat Jurassic World's ass violently with both hands tied behind it's back.

Overall, a fun rental but I didn't miss anything by not seeing it at a theater.

Seeing how it's going to get released during the maelstrom that will be Star Wars, I don't think many will notice.
