    The 3D presentation is 1.85:1, while the 2D presentation is 1.78:1. We can only capture screenshots from the 2D presentation, thus the 1.78:1 screenshots. Sorry for any confusion - I should probably go add a clarifying note to the video review...

    Ah, thanks. I completely forgot to update the aspect ratios when I posted the review. It's fixed now. I also added a note to my review after realizing I hadn't mentioned the ARs there either. Again, thanks for the correction!

    Re-counting the active picture lines it's indeed 1.85

    Wow, strange. That either means that New Line launched two different versions, or that we got our copy from different sources/countries/etc. My copy is a US-version, mentions both Newline, as also Picturehouse, and has UPC/EAN-code (0)794043111136. According to CinemaSquid there is also a US-version with UPC/EAN-code (0)883929113354. Do you happen to have reviewed that one maybe? If so, that might explain the difference.
