Was that, or was it not, the most disgusting thing on the Episode VII thread? Brilliant use of the Clint gif there.

And I do not drool my way through life. Dance maybe, but never drool. I really just don't care about "reality" in movies because movies are by their very nature unreal. They are entertainment only. Though they do feed my daydreams. And night dreams as well. It's still fun to imagine what it would be like to live on Coruscant for example. And fly a speeder through that vast city maze.

I really had a whole post cooked up about the fact that the whole series is based on a totally impossible scenario from the ground up. I enjoy them immensely, but when I walk out of the theater (or my room at home) I don't live in fear of machines taking over. And hey, have you realized that the movie is a bit anachronistic now anyway? They set it in 1984 again. How is that supposed to instill any kind of paranoia when it is set in a time that has already come and gone? Part of the success of the original films when they were released, I'm sure, is that there was an air of uncertainty hanging over them because the future they presented was still so far off. Not so anymore. So that's half the tension of your "futuristic" vision gone right there.

I saw your GIF on the Terminator Genisys thread. I really don't know what to say to the guy. I had a post all typed up and posted. However, I decided to delete it. It's not worth the hassle and the possibility of getting suspended, or worse banned, for getting in a fight. How's it going with you?
