you need to set the camera for macro when taking a close up and it should be well lit so you won't need to use flash to distorte the picture. but i'm sure i understand what your trying to show me. as far as the pro-installer thing, i have a small living room and i can tell you i won't be paying anyone to calibrate anything for me in there, now, if i spend 3K+ on an HDTV then i'll pay the $300 to have it pro-calibarated but i'm so happy and satisfied with the job that Audyssey has done with just doing the 3 positions that i'm content. so many folks are bit*hen about something that most of us will never use (because you have to pay for it). the only way i'd ever want to use a feature like that (or want it) is if i had a HT room built for me from scratch, then, i would want to have that feature. otherwise, what's included with the 5507 is more than enough for me and i'm sure most people. imo!

ok, made in Malaysia, but, Onkyo is a Japaneese company, guess even they are outsourcing! i put an answer to your registration problem on the thread, check it out. sorry to here about the foot & button issue. i'll gather it's not serious enough to warrent sending it back? is the button physically damaged or just somewhat bound/jammed? and if so, does it cause zone 2 to be active because it's "jammed" in? if you check your display on the unit it will show zone 2 on it and i believe the zone 2 light would be on.
