Thanks for your comment on my HT! 3:10 to Yuma, although relatively new, still feels like a modern-day classic Western

Thanks so much for the great rating. The room has a little echo but I might go with panels to take care of that b

    Tom,

You are most welcome. I will post an answer to your questions regarding my speakers, turntable and tonearm probably later tonight or tomorrow. I just got in from some errands, will have dinner, listen to a little music and wind down.

    Hey Tom,
I think It's great that you're considering adding the front heights to your setup. They would definitely add to the immersion factor. I do switch back and forth from time to time though. When company comes over I like to show off the 9.2 setup and they love it. But when It's just me I use the 5.2 setup for a more natural soundtrack. Also using the 9.2 setup does put a lot of stress on the receiver. So if you decide to add the f/heights you should keep that in mind. If you're looking to upgrade your receiver then I would say go for it. But then again I look for any old reason to upgrade. Do it for the upgrade, not not just the 9.2.Hope my babbling helps you. Hey teknipper, Aperionaudio.com sells SPL meters for $29, but it looks like they are backordered right now. They do provide them at no charge with a 5.1 speaker purchase Blue

I turned 64 last week, and I still carry a Cat 2 license (road and track), but I stopped racing three years ago due to advancing problems caused by scoliosis. I still ride 7,000 miles a year, but I've become unsteady. I'm working on it. I've won six state championships since 1988, and in 2002, I won the 40k TT at the Huntsman World Senior Games.

To answer your trick question, if you scale back on the components and wheels a bit, you should be able to buy the Orbea AND the Triad sub...
