I also did a quick search and there are several reviews that mention many of the issues I did (HDD's for example, although our scores differ +/- 0.5 in some cases). There aren't many who are declaring each transfer a 5/5 marvel, except in forums, which is common. Most scores fall in and around the 4 range.

I've viewed these on a new 65" plasma and a high-end projection setup. In both cases, the issues and, more importantly, the beauty of the transfers are apparent. I'm curious to hear your impressions, though! Be sure to let me know what you think

I think it really comes down to the definition of "negative." My reviews are quite positive, the most negative being The Invisible Man (faint but frequent artifacting), The Wolf Man (prevailing edge halos, clearly visible in some of my screenshots), and Phantom (which has a more processed appearance, most noticeable in faces and in motion).

That said, I think many reviewers, both user and pro, simply aren't looking hard enough, as each issue is quite clear. Sometimes the overwhelming improvement a title undergoes blinds a reviewer to what is and isn't ideal in the image. At the end of the day, though, it's still a subjective opinion
