Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I'm sorry if I came across a as a bit of a jerk. It's no big deal honestly. I didn't realize you replied because you replied on your own page instead of mine. If you had replied on mine I would have received a notification like yours. Yeah, I like Skyline alright, but it is no masterpiece by any stretch. I like Twilight as well. I just bought two copies of Breaking Dawn Part 1. I got the Bella's Wedding Edition from Walmart and the regular Special Edition from Best Buy. I am planning to get the Best Buy Steelbook edition as well as the Target Exclusive if I can find that one still. Yeah, I love the packaging for all of the versions. I have two versions each of New Moon and Eclipse as well. I'm a freak like that. Just so you know, I LIKE TWILIGHT!

Oh wow, I just noticed that you sent me a message. That little PM notification is tiny! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I don't really remember what I said at the time.. something about how you got Skyline and I was all like "lol why", right? Well I wasn't trying to insult your taste. Everyone can like whatever they want to (cause hey, I like Twilight too :P ). I had just heard so many bad things about Skyline at the tim, is all. Glad to hear you enjoyed it, though!

    Cheers

Sorry. Character limits on these. You're relatively new. I joined this past April. Let me extend my welcome to you. I hope you have as much fun on here as I do. I like meeting other people, even if it's only in cyberspace, that I can communicate with about my love for the movies. I hope to see around the forum highways and byways.

And yes, the critics mostly trashed it. But, they trashed a good bit of the movies in my collection. That doesn't stop me from enjoying them. I went to see New Year's Eve this past Sunday and I really enjoyed that. The RT score was 7%. Just goes to show that the critics are just farting in the wind. The average Jane and Joe population (of which I am a part, and you are as well) will like whatever they want to. It's proven. I like Twilight and you don't see the critics piling praise on those. I read the reviews and I am only regretful that I let them dissuade me from seeing certain movies in theaters sometimes, even when my gut tells me I would enjoy it. Don't let the critics word rule. I choose what I want to see and don't care if others don't approve. I respect their choices if they'll respect mine.

Hey. I just read your comment on the 100+ Blu thread. I bought Skyline because I was interested in it. I remember seeing the trailers and thinking how cool it looked. I just watched it today and I have to say it was cool. It was not an "award winner" by any means, but I thought it was fun. It did what the filmmakers wanted it to do. It entertained with its incredible alien visuals and some more than solid performances from Eric Balfour and Scottie Thompson. The seemed committed and owned their roles. If you are interested in seeing it, I would say rent it first. Not everyone has to go in blind like I did, though I already knew the ending from Youtube. It was still interesting and fun though.
