I just embarked on another series re-watch this week started with the pilot episode "Children of The Gods" everything is in wide format 1.78:1 (16:9) on my DVDs. I'm on the last disc of season one right now.

So a Blu transfer isn't unreasonable, well to me and probably any other SG fan anyway. I believe they will make money on it, I mean heck the DVDs are still selling out of stock every time they come in at the local department stores.

I agree with you that after season 8 it just seems ... uh ... lacking. Have you been to www.gateworld.net if not definitely check it out!

Clean? My equipment? I dust twice a week, only takes 5 minutes

Glad I find somebody else that loves SG1 as much for me it kinda fell flat after season 8, without O'Neall (2 L's). It would be a big expense for them to do SG1 on blu since the first I think 3 or 4 seasons were 4:3 format.
But I have read that they are doing Xfiles on blu and if you have that series you know how bad the quality was the first few seasons.
And how do you keep your stuff so clean???
