Agreed! His back catalogue should be released soon on Blu ray!

Thanks for the suggestion of El Topo! It was bizarre, but great film and now I am excited to see The Holy Mountain. I can see where Refn got the influence from.

Pusher 2 is my favorite as well, Madds Mikkelsen's performance was fantastic and I would agree that that ending was fantastic. I'll add those Jodorowsky films to my Netflix queue, they look very strange and intriguing.

I've seen all of his either movies except for Fear X and Bleeder. I've loved all of them and I would go as far as to say that Valhalla Rising is one of the greatest films as far as scope that I've ever seen. I've never seen Jodorowsky, but I can see some of the comparisons drawn to Lynch. Which of the Pusher Trilogy is your favorite?

Good to hear you liked Only God Forgives! Definitely one of the most polarizing movies this year, but I was amongst those who really liked it which is especially impressive because after Drive I had very high expectations.

Yeah, probably. I think I might go see it know cheap day (Baz isn't getting full price out of me, lol). I'm pretty much going in with knives sharpened, but my expectations are so low now who knows, lol.

Chuckling out loud! Yeah, it was pulled about three hours after I ordered and went from $24.78 to $57 (104.00 for a used issue!!) as I assume you know. Odd thing is when I pull it up on Amazon I'm still getting an 'instant up-date' to the effect that "You purchased this item on April 5, 2013. See order." Still wondering if it's possible that they would pull the item at the point that their orders matched the known availability from their distributors, but suspect that I'm just being delusional now. In the unlikely event it does come through I will be really grateful for your heads-up!

Incidentally, yes, Paris is magnificent! Was last there last spring and did hit the Musée d'Orsay this time. Wonderful, wonderful experience~ it's so much more personal and intimate than the Louvre experience.

I just finished it. It's really great and strangely it reminded me of Social Network in a way. Also have you seen any Harmony Korine films? I just started watching his after I had heard about Spring Breakers being more than just Project X 2. I've seen Spring Breakers, Gummo, and Julian Donkey-Boy and I would recommend all 3.
