Awesome - thanks! I couldn't stand by and watch someone insist the reason Les Miserables was being made into a movie was because they wanted to close a production that closed nearly 10 years ago. Seriously.

I will definitely check out the wish list section! Thanks again!

I am looking forward to more Blu-ray with Audrey. I am hoping for Wait Until Dark soon or at least Roman Holliday. Take care!

Oildude - You are correct there is no US release of ME in a regular BD. There are non US releases that are regular BD's.

I picked mine at walmart.com. For about 25 about 4 months ago.I too was worried because the picture did not look like one and the description did not state digibook. But it was.

When i did my research I discovered that the digibook is the only version with a release date of 7/21/2009....or rather 21/7/2009 (Aussie date translation LOL). Very few sites show the UPC and many sites have UPC's that are incorrect or it has multiple. There is both a Canadian and US digibook release, both release on 7/21/2009.

I also googled and B&N also has it in stock. But it is only about a dollar less than the BB one.

To answer your question, I ordered Midnight Express from bestbuy.com. It was full price ($34.99). The website does not identify it as a digibook and the picture of the cover is too small to tell. But the specs are consistent and I don't believe the film has had a regular blu-ray case release yet.. If it turns out I am wrong, or there is a problem with the disc or anything else, I have the knowledge I can take it back to an actual store. I was willing to pay a bit extra for that security. Besides, the price difference for a new copy between bestbuy.com and ebay is only a few dollars.

Still, this is a lot more than I have ever paid for a digibook, quite a bit above my normal price point. This is what I get for passing on it when it was on sale for $14.99 right after Christmas 2010 because I had already spent so much. I was in no hurry to pick it up and figured it would come around again at that price or less. Next thing I knew, it was OOP.

Hello, mate. I have been meaning to say thanks for the friend invite. Nice to find another fan of Australian cinema, especially a native. I had a roomate in college from South Australia. He introduced me to Vegemite (definitely an acquired taste), using eucalyptus oil in hot water to clear a head cold, and lots of slang (I still say dunny now and then without realizing it).

Funny thing is, I was the one who introduced him to a lot of Australian movies he had never seen...in fact, the first time he saw Gallipoli was when I rented it.

    Leon,

Yeah people can be far away but have like circumstances.

Fortunately the wife does understand how much I love digibooks. But the difference is she does not have the movie collecting bug like I do. However she does appreciate having the option to grab her favorite movies off the shelf lol.

I see you are in San Antonio, been there many times for work. I am in Arizona.
