Actually, when "critics" say it's all about fanboys' fantasies, it makes me laugh so hard at how they are looking at the shiny surface. It really is the surface and the film is very easy to understand.

They completely fail to understand WHY the girls fight in the "skimpy" outfits. Don't you think that they would have fought in guy gear? Yes... but the costumes they wear serve a deeper purpose. It's the only armor they're given in real life, so they use it in the fantasy sequences as an act of defiance ("you gave us this to objectify us, and look what we're doing to you now").

Honestly, I could go on and on as to why Sucker Punch was completely misunderstood by "critics". It seems that now there is a large (and growing) fanbase around it, and I'm glad to say that I knew there was going to be one from the start.

I agree. She was a great addition to the Hunger Games franchise. And to think she will be in the last two!!! I freaked out when she was announced to play Johanna Mason. I thought it was a perfect casting (same with Julianne Moore as President Coin).

And I agree about Sucker Punch. It's great. It's one of those films that you either "get" or you don't. And if someone doesn't, well... sorry.

Have you known of her for long, or only since Catching Fire? I'm assuming you've seen it as it made over $161.1 million in North America alone over the weekend.

I first saw her in Sucker Punch and loved her ever since.

I LOVED the way she looked in the elevator scene in Catching Fire.

I'm guessing you took a liking to Jena Malone after seeing Catching Fire?
