I cannot afford 4K right now, but really 1080p is wonderful. I don't see any deficits. Maybe in a few more years. I cannot wait to watch mine as well. I'm off for a couple of days, but I'm waiting for just the right moment. It's a great film and I want to savor it.

You picked up TFA today I see. I got all four versions because I am a collector when it comes to films this big and awesome. The BB-8 slip is wonderful. The standard is beautiful and beautifully simple. I love the embossing on the title and the art within the letters. The Target version has nice images, but the disc setup is a bot on the bothersome side. It reminds me none too fondly of the Indy set and that set made me so afraid I would damage the discs trying to get them out.

I haven't really interacted with you on this site before, but from what I've seen of your posts in my years as a lurker here, you seem to be one of the most interesting people on Blu-ray.com. You also have excellent taste in film!

    Hi.

Please accept my friend request. I like to add people who's colelctions I like looking through so I can find them easier in future. You're collection is great, lots of interesting titles that make me want to broaden my film horizons. makes a change from trawling through page after page of superhero movies and 3d titles.

Love reading your posts. Funny how someone with the username of "The Great Owl" didn't review the Secret of NIMH blu-ray. ;-) That's what I thought of the minute I saw the username.

Sire was such a tremendous record label back then. I saw The Ocean Blue in concert during the early 1990s, and I still revisit their albums from time to time. Their reunion effort, Ultramarine, from 2013, actually sits well alongside their earlier stuff.

TGO, I just saw a post where you name checked the band Ocean Blue! Man, what a flashback. This band, Echo and the Bunnymen and the Red House Painters were some of my favorite bands from that era. "Ballerina Out of Control" is now stuck in my head! LOL! My brother used to work for Reprise/Sire at the time and fronted me so many great CDs that probably no one ever heard of. Thanks for jostling my memory! Cheers!

I'm a bit of a lurker on here, so don't be weirded out, but I really enjoy reading your posts on here and admire your passion for cinema. We seem to have similar tastes in film, so it's always cool to read thoughts and reviews I can see eye-to-eye with (though I gotta say I love Eraserhead). And great collection, by the way. I tell myself I'll never reach 900 discs, but the way things are going I might hit that mark sooner than expected.
