Bonjour! Anyone with Blade Runner and The Godfather Parts I and II in their top ten is a friend of mine.

It's criminally underrated! I would have given it a full 10 except for where some of the musical transitions just seemed odd and rather off to me. For instance when Isabella climbs aboard Montoya and the music starts, it just sounded like an 80's VHS porn transition. Of course some of the other musical choices were positively inspired.

I had seen it once back in 2006, and I decided to revisit it after seeing so much praise on these forums. I'm glad I did! Truly a great film!

Unfortunately, I have not seen Her yet. I was planning to see it a few weekends ago, but some things came up. Now I'm to the point where I figure I should just wait for the blu ray to release and do a blind buy. It's no longer playing in any good local theaters.

Gothic horror right on man, much better than gore fests. Probably seen it but try The Legend of Hell House, the book is awesome. Reconize the picture of the woman in front of the house but can't place it.

I completely agree. Most people I've watched the first two Godfathers with also preferred the later. It's one of the only epic, mainstream films I can think of with a purely malevolent, ice cold central character who ends up eliminating all his enemies and winning at the end. Not something you'd see today in cinema!
