    I appreciate it man I can vouch for the newer models not sounding as good. I don't know if you saw my bedroom setup, I've got a set of rt800i towers in there snd they're not even close for sound. They definately need a sub with them. My living room set is from 96-97 if I remember correctly. I love the older Polk's. I think they were their flagship model for that year. However, I got the complete set for a steal.

    Thanks for the compliment on my system are you referring to the Polk RT16 towers as being different? I love those things! they are IMO the best Polk towers I have heard to date for HT. I've tried/heard nany others, but these babies are keepers They were introduced in 1996 as their Reference Theater line (hence the RT name ) but if you want to see some unique/different looking speakers, check this out, I'm not sure what they are, and haven't pm'd him on them yet
