David, thought I'd try catching up with you again. We used to be linked as friends and regretably I lost our link. Take care.

    Hi David
Are they going to release any of the old 3D movies on 3DBlu-ray. I saw your comment on Kiss me Kate and would like to add that; The 1953 movie of Kiss me Kate which was short in 3D with stereo sound see; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045963/
was filmed in 1.37:1 with an intended ratio of 1.75:1 see; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045963/technical
was shown at a New York Cinema in 3D last year see; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045963/...nest/168768798
Has been digitally restored for DVD with 5.1 sound see; http://www.amazon.com/Kiss-Me-Kate-K...0679084&sr=8-3

The DVD release should have been in widescreen but wasn't (When are studios going to realize that the most common screen aspect ratio is 16:9 and produce for it)

There are many 3D movies from the 50's that I would love to see on Blu-ray 3D

    Thanks,

    Bonner Martin

Hi David! Thanks for the kind words and the help with the 3D tech. It's a kind of learn-on-the-fly thing, so any help is appreciated. I still think it's important to mention what viewers today can expect to see with the current releases and on the newest tech, but indeed, I do hope it reaches a point where it's seamless.

David, thought I would write you, Penton on his insider thread stated if we come up with a list of Columbia classics that he will present it to the proper person at Sony (important person, as he said). Here's the link I hope you chime in with your wanted titles. We are just posting titles now and will create a poll after a while and give it to Penton. Thanks Rob
