I recall reading that there was a transfer issue of some sort with Jurassic Park when it first came out, but I don't remember exactly what the issue was or how bad it was without going to check the review.

    Very true

I find Rocky II to be the one that always gets forgotten about because of that reason. Rocky Balboa is my favorite and in my Top 20 movies. I think I actually put III and IV above the original. Rocky is definitely a better movie than those two, but I grew up watching III and IV a number of times.

I think I scored Kingsman a 3/5. It was entertaining, but didn't work as well for me as it did my friend who I watched it with. Firth and Jackson were hilarious/awesome.

A buddy of mine used to rave about that show all the time, I've never seen it...but have ironically seen the movie.

    In that case....

I think I lurked for a month or two before signing up.

Good call on renting Tomorrowland first.

I went and saw San Andreas since the last message. I need to figure out when I am gonna see Jurassic World. I might wait a week or two to go and see it on the same day as Inside Out unless my buddy invites me to go for free.
Did you oull the trigger on the JP Trilogy?

Pretty much exactly my thoughts on Taken 3.

I thought I had responded to all this when you asked for the merge...guess not
Responding on my phone was a huge pain scrolling up and down for each section

She is good in the third Hobbit film, but her part continues to have the useless love story tacked on.

I didn't know much at all about the story for American Sniper going in, just that the guy was killed a few years back. I read up on it afterwards.

Since the great blu-ray introduction of 2009
Or 2010, or 2011...or whenever it was that I got caught up on the majority of my catalog shopping.

I am going 3.5/5 for both films after watching them today. Enjoyed both but thought they both could have been better. Good day at the movies though. Interestingly enough Key from Key and Peele is featured in both films which was an funny surprise.

But there are a ton that could make it over most of those like San Andreas, Minions, In the Heart of the Sea, Creed, Mockingjay Pt 2, Steve Jobs, Tomorrowland, Pitch Perfect 2 and Age of Adeline.

It could be a busy purchase year for me
I'm expecting to buy at least 10 of those.

If I had heard that before seeing Ultron, I would have called you crazy...but after seeing Ultron (and still enjoying it a good bit), I'd say that wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for me as well. I'm still wondering what size/type of role Evangeline Lilly will be playing.

Solid choice. I was expecting a battle between Ultron and Star Wars for my top movie this year going in, but with Ultron landing at a 4.25/5, it's up in the air for me what will be fighting it out with Star Wars.

My buddy and I did "expected top 10" lists a few weeks back and I came up with (in no particular order):

    Star Wars
    Ultron
American Sniper (since it wide released in January)
    Ant-Man
    Spectre
    Furious 7
    Cinderella
    Jurassic World
    Mission Impossible 5
    Inside Out

Yep, I still highly enjoyed it even though not as much as I had hoped.

With the synopsis of Civil War being what we all expected pretty much and the cast they have for that one and the Russos directing with the same writers as the previous Cap films...I have a strong feeling that Civil War will bring the awesome that I wanted from Age of Ultron.

Yeah, they have been winding things down for a little while now. Have they been doing it well is another question

That's like me buying...well anything that isn't a big summer movie

Agreed. I was already on board with just her, but they continue to knock it out with casting on that one.

Highly doubtful...but Terminator Salvation says anything is possible

    Found my "review" of it

    Looks like I went 3.75/5.
Agreed about Damon, didn't like that at all.

At least there is a strong chance of me enjoying the live action remake with the fantastic cast they are lining up for it. Though I'm sure I'll have seen the animated one by then...maybe

I'd watch anything with Bale and Diesel in the same movie

Yep, good stuff. I was surprised that I liked it as much as I did...but I guess I shouldn't really have been as I'm not a sports fan but I tend to enjoy sports movies for some reason.

    Exactly

The last portion of the movie was actually my least favorite
I thought everything pre-black hole was much better. I do plan to give it another watch at some point to see if my opinion changes. Especially since I had a 50oz soda and had to go to the bathroom for the last 2 hours of the movie

Shocked that you've never seen Day After Tomorrow
Not as shocked with Monte Cristo as it wasn't that popular, but I love it.

And I probably never will see the animated one
I also haven't seen Beauty and the Beast, but that one will get watched at some point.

Haven't even heard of the first two and haven't seen either of the Horrible Bosses movies. Raunchy comedies don't really work for me

I quite enjoyed Moneyball when I watched it a couple years ago.

I don't remember what I scored it exactly, somewhere around 3.5/5 I think. I thought it was very okay. McConaughey and Chastain gave strong performances.
