Well, Civil War was a great movie. Surprise surprise.

Shocking twist there at the end when Batman showed up and stopped the fight because he found out their moms were named Martha as well...oh....crap...I meant to spoiler tag that

How are those on the gas mileage? My new one is about 1-2mpg below what I drove before, but I have a bigger tank now, so I doubt I'll even notice any change in my driving habits.

So the final Apocalypse trailer finally got me thinking the movie looks enjoyable; I haven't been impressed with anything they've shown so far. Lawrence does look to be sleep walking through all of her lines though...

I had a few games on my list but then thought, "Nah, its much more efficient to just get a bunch of movies"

I enjoyed it, was a little bit better than I expected and I expected it to be good

In real world news, I bought a new truck today.
I found a hell of a deal on a 2015 GMC Canyon that only had 15,000 miles on it and still had the new car smell. They made a mistake on the sticker price and accidentally put what THEY paid for it so I walked out at cost

Or keep watching them on Netflix

Yeaahhh....that was pretty stupid. When they said he was dealing with something off world, I thought, "Oh, good, a legitimate reason that he is not there" and then the shot themselves in the foot.

On the Star Wars front, I am actually excited for Rogue One now after that great trailer. I was unsure of it at best before, but the trailer really sold me.

In related news, I just finished my one month of Gamefly that they offered me for $1. Used it to watch The Intern, Maggie, The Walk, The 33, Concussion and Batman: Bad Blood. Definitely worth the $1

I rewatched the pilot the other night after we discussed all of this and had to force myself not to just binge watch like 8 episodes.

Maybe I'll just tell myself in the future that there is only 2 seasons of the show

Something I was thinking about regarding the flashbacks: have we had a confirmation that the flashbacks actually take place over a whole year? The amount of hair growth that needs to happen before the end of next season in the flashbacks is impossible if he has to go from buzzcut to Cast Away in a year.

These are the kinds of things that bother me

While I enjoyed the episode more than you did, I can't say you are wrong on any of that

I miss the days of this show so much when it was Oliver out in the field with Diggle along to help sometime. I think the smaller scale and simplicity is what made it so great early on (excluding the Slade invasion of course, which was big but awesome). These days its nothing but big group combat every time they go out and it just isn't interesting to me. I still love Amell, Ramsey and Blackthorne in their roles but they have done some crappy writing for each character in the recent seasons. Don't even get me started on the flashbacks...

Can't say I would be surprised if it was done after Season 5, what with that syncing up with Oliver being rescued at the end. I would like to think it could be great again, but I wouldn't even know where they could go with it after having Star City invaded 3-4 times by the end of this year...

I ironically thought it was one of the better episodes in quite some time....however I wanted them to take out Thea. Laurel has actually been growing on me since Felicity has been becoming super annoying. I thought the reactions to her dying were pretty well acted by the cast.

But my stance on the show is still the same as it has been, not even half the show it was two years ago

My best friend kind of said along the same lines of you. He saw the flaws people were talking about but he still thought it was a 4/5.

So my buddy at work said he will probably be picking up The Dark Knight Rises since it is only $8.99 this week and I saw it comes with movie money for BvS which he has no intention of seeing. I told him if he goes and gets it on his lunch break tomorrow I'd give him $2 for the movie money ticket

Well that blows. Maybe you can take a bit of solace in that it is 107% telegraphed that it is about to happen when the sequence that it takes place in begins. Before that though, I didn't expect it.

I might be seeing it tomorrow, depends on my buddy's schedule. I would assume Wednesday at the latest.

Well I just had how the fight between Batman and Superman ends spoiled by a completely non-BvS thread

I have tempered my expectations considerably with the negative reviews pouring in, even from the 3 or so reviewers that I actually listen to. Before I was hoping for at least a 4/5 movie, now the hope seems to be around a 3/5.
