Saw the new Evil Dead. It works well for what it is. It's a "reboot" done right. It's bloody enough and it's not as hollow, subtextually, as the original. Although that might be a downside, too. You never know with "B"-grade horror whether a step up is really a step up or not. It's at least worth seeing for any horror fan.

Yes it is!!! It's also him in my profile picture.

I have all of his films as well, so it's no surprise that I have him as my avatar.

Happy New Year to you also, and hope you have a great 2013. My son and daughter stayed at our house for New Year's Eve, and we ended up having a party at our house, so we had a great time!

Cool, thanks. Slightly worried that plasma screens still seem to have burn-in issues even if it's minor at worst. Does the Panny have any anti-burn-in features? I think some premium models(like the Kuro's) have ones that actually work. I guess the power consumption depends on how much you use it. But I doubt there's that big of a difference especially if you compare LCD>LED vs LCD>plasma. LCD is old tech.

I need to revisit Paths of Glory. I first saw it over a month ago and was slightly disappointed considering how much it's been praised everywhere.

Thanks for your comment. I like Paths of Glory but not quite enough to warrant a purchase. Really loved your HT. How do you like your Panny plasma? Any issues so far? Is there a noticeable difference in power consumption between plasmas and LED? I'm interested in replacing my Sony LCD with a Panny plasma in the near future(similar size), but not if it'll double my electric bill.
