Hi.Have been listening to my 2M blue for a few records now,and not sure if it's worth the upgrade.Little bit more detail, but it just confirms what a gem that red one is.Maybe that 2M black is the way to go,but have to modify the swing arm,and not sure how to do that, nor if I'd like to fork out the cash for that unknown quantity.

    Hope this helps

Excellent. Thanks for the update. It is helpful.

Extra detail is not a thing I would crave. I think I will just stick with the 2M Red. It is off the shelf at my local store as well. So nice and easy.

Hi there, thanks for comment in my HT thread. What needle are you using on your pro-ject TT?I have ordered the 2Mblue to see if that bumps the SQ up abit from the 2M red.The store said the 2M black wouldn't fit without modifying my swing arm.The red is ok,but want something with abit more oomph.

I'm just using the standard 2M red. Really just playing with vinyl. So far I like it. It really works for speakers however not great for headphones (my majority of music listening). For convenience I rip vinyl to digital for headphone listening. Then use vinyl for speaker listening only. I have heard good things about Denon needles. So I am thinking of trying one. 2M blue sounds interesting. Please tell me the results.

I seen a few of his stuff, he's quite popular over here in UK, hosts quite a few panel shows and is often really funny. I recommend Bill Bailey, quite similar to O'Briain, does a bit of music as well.

I haven't listened to Beck yet but will give it a try. I also haven't seen the new Star Wars trailer because I want the movie to be a surprise (although I did see the trailer that was released at the end of last year). Other than that, things have been fairly hectic. I have been on travel most of the year, preparing for retirement at the end of the year. I hope you are doing well.

Hope you find what you're looking for, audio setups have always been something that has gone over my head. As for flicks, the Mad Max trailer really blew me away, so I'm hyped as hell for that one.

I have been staying out of the Hobbit movie threads because I get tired of reading the posts of the Jackson butt-kissers praising his "genius", when he has obviously ruined a good and simple story. I will stick it out to the bitter end and see the third movie, but Jackson's credibility is thoroughly destroyed, despite the billions he has made on Tolkien's back. On a good note, I read the Jemima Catlin edition of The Hobbit this year, and it is nicely done with high manufacture quality. I hope you are doing well and enjoying the change of seasons.

    Your buddy,

I have been on lots of travel lately - mostly to Alaska, although I have to go to San Diego tomorrow. I will be gone for most of the rest of the year, but relief is coming in 15 months when I retire. No doubt I will be poor, but rested. I hope you and your family are doing OK and hopefully have had a nice summer. I haven't seen Gravity yet, but we have it stored on our DirectTV box. Thanks for the warnin
