Anyway, I'll keep you posted about what I decide to do. Who knows, I may not like what I see from Panny at CES and decide not to wait for their 2011 line-up. I may just go ahead and pick up that TC-P65VT25.

By the way, have you tried the James Cameron firmware & settings for Avatar 3D yet? If so, what did you think?

I bet! I'm very jealous. I have all of these 3D BDs just waiting to be watched on a Panny plasma. If I could, I'd go bigger than a 65", but the wall I'm mounting it onto will only fit a 65".

I agree that bigger is definitely better when it comes to 3D. My first REAL 3D experience was The Polar Express in 3D IMAX. I had the pleasure to get an inside tour of Sony Imageworks when Tim Sarnoff was the president (he gave us the tour). I was able to ask him all kinds of questions about 3D back in Dec. of 2004. I remember asking, "Do you think that 3D will be the future of film making?" His reply, "There's not a doubt in my mind." By the way, Sony Imageworks did The Polar Express with Robert Zemeckis.

While I was there, I go to see the first pre-vis of the flames on Ghost Rider's head. They were rendering it to show the Sony Execs that they could actually do it before the film was green lit. Not a great movie, but it was neat to see that before the movie was even shot.

I kinda figured that was the case. My mind is already made on the Panny, I just want to see what they announce at CES in Jan. I like the TC-P65VT25, but there is rumor that Panasonic will be including more Pioneer plasma technology into their 2011 sets. I'd really hate myself for buying a $4,000 TV in Dec. and then have something even more awesome announced just a month later. I can wait.

I'm even entertaining the idea of flying out to Las Vegas for CES. Just to see the Panny booth/press conference.

    Hey Yagbols,

I saw your post on the Consumer Reports news.

Do you prefer your Panny or your Sammy for 3D? What about 2D BD?
