i disagree , teenagers are lookin' forward to this movie and when you get the teenagers the box office is yours , and i'm not a big batman fan but i think it'll kill the competion

Will it be #1? A big fat YES is the answer to that question.

The fifth episode of Gotham Tonight is now available on Comcast. It's an interview between Sal Maroni and Commissioner Loeb.

Just watched that scene earlier today and I have to admit that that was a great performance indeed.

If you are asking if the Dark Knight will be # 1 the week it comes out, YES NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

Will it be the highest grossing film of the summer? Perhaps. There is a lot of hype and buzz surrounding TDK. There is also plenty of good marketing for it. I know that many people both males and females are highly anticipating this movie. Iron-Man will be hard to beat this summer though(at least money-wise that is).

Will it be the highest grossing comic book movie of all-time? As many have already said Spider-Man 3 will be hard to be so most likely TDK won't be.

I read two early reviews(one from Rolling Stone Magazine and the other I forget where) and both reviews give TDK very high praise. I think both even say that it is the best comic book movie, EVER. Both reviews were praising Ledger's performance. Buzz on the internet is that Ledger is Oscar-worthy.

IMO, TDK has the potential to be the best comic book movie.

Looks like Christian Bale wants nothing to do with Robin.

Could it be that Christian Bale has developed a bit of a Batman ego? Maybe he just doesn't want to share the superhero screen with anyone else? LOL

In all honesty, IF Robin is brought into the fold, it has to be much farther down the road. Batman is still too fresh an entity within the Nolan DC universe. He has way too much personal sh!t to deal with before he can be a proper mentor for a youthful sidekick. However, I can't say that I'm not open to the idea... if it is timed correctly.

Perhaps they could introduce the character and have him partake as a non-superhero for 1 or 2 films before he gets christened into the miniature cape? That's the only way I could see it working in Nolan's vision.

Yes, but isn't Bale signed on to do only 3 Batman films? I hope he does more, but if there are 4, 5 and 6 in the future then that would be the time for Robin to show.

Comicbookmovie.com has another one...the Joker party crashing scene. Everyone's probably seen it by now. I haven't been this authentically excited to see a movie like this in years...and I'm not sure I'll have the money to even after the initial pre-bought ticket run is over.

We're only through part of July and already you're saying he deserves an Oscar based on a few clips? What about all the movies coming out in the Fall/Winter?

Perhaps you haven't been reading enough about this film (newspapers and magazines and especially online). It is not just fans raving about his deserving of an oscar. Even when they were filming there was talk of his performance. That and all the early reviewers and critics are in agreement on this topic.

It's very different to say it's Oscar worthy than to say it deserves the Oscar this early in the year. It's crazy to say anyone deserves the Oscar this early.

Im all for these new movies to be without side kicks. I like Robin, but I like the Batman solo stories much better. If they ever use Catwoman, they could do like the comics and make her his ally every now and then.

If you live in New York or Chicago, you'll want to be at these locations when the clock hits zero.
