I posted a few pages back and didnt get a responce. If anyone can please help me out here what I wrote...

"Can someone help me out with printing covers using photoshop??

On some I can print them just fine but some are huge and when I change the height and width the image gets real small... also I was thinking I can use a bluray cover template and just size it down to match that?? can someone please provide me with that template? Thanks in advance"

Neptune:

Make sure the print setting is not expanding it to fit page or anything like that. Other than that I cannot help much, I print mine at Kinkos or well its Fedex Office now.

Go to Image>Image Size and make sure it is set to 300 Pixels/Inch. Hopefully that will fix the size errors.
Here is the guide I started with, from bunnydojo.

Guys, I generally just print the covers at home cause i live in the UK an we don't have Kinkos, Does anyone know if there is anything similar over here? I have heard some people talking about Staples Copy & Print Centre... Has anyone used it?

bpmford Design - A Charlie Brown Christmas

Hey all, here is my newest custom cover. I would have posted it before christmas, but it was in a competition on another site, so it had to stay undercover (hehe, underCOVER, that's funny).

Hope you like, and as always, PM me for the cover if you qualify.

That looks damn good, my only thing is what type of paper would I use to print this to make it seem as legit as possible to an original cover?

Wow these Custom Cover projects are just amazing you all have some very special talent. I'm going to have to start getting rid of those garbage studio covers and replace them with these.

I read somewhere pages back or from a link about going to Kinkos, what would a typical cover cost to get printed up there.

i usually print at kinkos and i think its around $1.49 a print or sumthin like that, thats for using the color printer and the glossy papper

jus go in, tell them u would like too use a computer to print, and u want color, and ask them for glossy paper

they charge u for minutes for the time spent on the computer i forget how much it is, but i think it's like 20cents a minute or sumtin, the 1st time i went there i took my time and learned my lesson lol, before i go i make sure what im gona print so im on and off the computer quickly, once i send all the covers through that i want to print i sign off the computer so the time stops and wait for them to be printed

Thanks for the help. Even at $0.20/min thats not bad but I see your point after the 1st 1 or 2 you could prob get on and off fast. So at $1.49 that was to use the printer,1 glossy paper and time spent on the computer if so that's not bad at all.

What about Staples I never paid attention what they have I just went there to fax some stuff a few times since I have one of them 1 mile away Kinko's is a good 15mins drive.

bpmford 12-31-2009 07:21 PM

This one is meant for slim case if you like uniformity in your collection. It hasn't been updated b/c I created before the movie came out, but if anyone wants it I can update it easily:
