Features is written on the bottom right of the box around the extras ;)

Seen it done a few times with "Star Wars" written that way around a box, in fact isn't it on the Empire and Jedi cases?

Edit - Its on the Empire poster at least

I got what you did with the Special Features, I like it

I vote for the speeder back

Trean 09-07-2010 04:13 AM

Awesome covers, I too like the speeder one. And have no bias against robots, the speeder one just looks cool.

That's just an impact font, isn't it? The real logo looks like this:

Very true but the res is the problem, I cannot find/resize one to the right size without looking like crap, its a little low rez but it does look better.
One other advantage with the other is that I can do the 2nd movie easier
MGM moved away that font on the new discs

EDIT fount a really hi-res poster and got one with the pen tool, it was for RC2 also so now I have a matching 2 :)

Mike,

Looks a lot better with the "real" RoboCop logo (to my mind, anyway). I wonder whether they moved away from it in later releases for the same reason--too hard to keep around nice high-res versions of the logo, maybe.

I like the green bit on the back which recalls the HUD inside Murphy's helmet.

Thanks, its a actual still from the BD that I cut out with the pen tool

All right! I think I've finished the Tom Whalen-cover, Ralph McQuarrie-back themed Star Wars Blu Rays.

They look awesome!

For the eventual release of Scott Pilgrim on Blu-Ray, I've put together a NES style throwback cover. Fits a standard case:

Also, a WIP, I'm modding an original NES cart to make it into a disc case, like seen here:

http://cache.kotaku.com/assets/image...gaman9box2.jpg

Here's what the cart will look like. Finished piece, along with the box, coming soon.

So for those that have followed this little project. The standard blu-ray cover is done, and I got back my NES throwback box a few days ago (pictures will come soon). Had the obvious setback of a disc not fitting inside a NES cart, but I've figured out a solution. Basically, it's going to be a meld of a NES cart and a DVD snap case. It'll look like a cart from the front. Really the only solution available since you can't fit a disc in the cart. I'll post pics very soon hopefully.

that is an awesome cover wookiee

Hot Fuzz.

I didn't like the "explosion" poster, so wanted something simpler for the front. The back took me FOREVER; I knew I wanted some reference to cornettos there, and found that pic of Nick with it, so I knew that was golden.

Anyone have a single art file with all the various collateral you find on movie cases, such as rating logos, studio logos, dolby, anti-copy, etc?
