Tron Set

Still working on Tron... making an additional set in addition to the first. Not sure Im happy with it, so hard to find good images for the front in Hi-res for a 30 year old movie! I might just scratch it and stay with just the one I first started.

It's good to see dv8 and bpm rockin' the cover joint again! These are some amazing covers guys! As for the Bridge on the River Kwai cover by HanaBi and Mad Men by bartlettphoto, great work! Merry Christmas to all!

Harry potter boxset covers

Hi all

This is my first time posting and also producing some covers, i will explain what im attempting.

I purchased the 7 disk Bluray boxset of the Harry Potter films that contains the first 6 movies and a bonus disk for film 6, when the last two movies are released i would like to contain them within the same boxset so i will purchase an extra couple of cases that can hold the other disks and i have produced these covers for them, let me know what you think.
I like what i have produced so far however there is something that i just cant seem to place either something missing or somthing thats too much just dont know, thoughts?

Last couple I made for DVD (obviously). Just haven't bothered to take a snap of the bluray version. Same thing with The Thing. I made that when only the HD version existed.
Been making custom covers for years now. I was one of the founders of the now defunct DVDCoverart.com.

Here's a few covers I finished working on recently. I can't really say I designed them, I just didn't like the covers most of them got on Blu-Ray. Especially Twister and Die Hard. I hated how they zoomed in on the Twister artwork (and made it blue). Shawshank is the same cover art, I just slapped it together for those who don't like the digibooks and don't want to re-buy it just to have it in a regular case.

Die Hard on Blu is not THX certified.

On The Terminator: it's 1.85 but there aren't any titles that are Anamorphic on Blu-ray.

Wow darthvong, best "The Thing" cover I've ever seen. One day I will get a printer to have it!

And movies on BD are not Region Code 1 (Halloween)! They have Code A. (In north america ... here in Europe it's 2 and B)

1 is the DVD Region Code. A the BD pendant. ;)

But this things are "running gags". BD templates have this mistakes like Code 1 and "anamorphic widesceen" integraded.

But at psd templates this "features" can be deactivated and everthing's fine for the covers and labels.

@gregmasciola & Darthvong

Very nice covers.

I love the terminator and the misery one.:D

I've ordered the HK BD version of The Accidental Spy, but very much dislike the quality of the cover and the fact that it's plastered all over with Chinese doesn't look nice in my opinion.

That's why I started on this. Should be complete by tomorrow.

Does anyone know where I can find this:
http://www.coverplazaforum.com/viewt...hp?f=20&t=3820

That site wants me to pay for the template download but so far that is the only place I can find it... and for some reason I like the look of that one. So if anyone knows of an alternate site could you please hit me up? I would love to try and learn how to make some custom covers.

darthvong's Blade Runner artwork would make the best steelbook EVER.

My parents got the US "Back to the Future" set for themselves, but after looking at it last night we all agreed that the packaging sucked. So I whipped this up last night for them; a straightforward scan of the original packaging to fit in a standard 3-disc case. I think it turned out pretty good.

Wow I just saw this thread (I usually spend my time in the International UK thread), what an amazing amount of work you put in on your covers. I will take the time later and go through the thread from the start. Also I wonder if there is a 'making of' post to how you go about a cover design, how you obtain your logo's etc? Are they scanned or taken from movies websites?

Keep up the good work.

Happy holidays everyone.
