Hey All!

Here is my newest cover!

Man I am really really liking all of the TRON covers that are showing up here right now. I can't read the back too well of this one (I'm assuming because of IMANDIX) but I really dig the front of this cover. It's simple (by simple I mean not a lot going on, not amatureish) and yet stylish.

I usually don't like art that draws your eyes to the center of the piece but this one really really works, I guess maybe with the rings around The Grid its MEANT to draw your eye there?

Very very nice work indeed. KEEP THE TRON COVERS COMING! :D

Thanks a lot three-fifty... My intention with the front was to be elegant and clean... I wanted to incorporate lots of details without having it busy...

I can actually show you the back closer:

That's exactly what I like. I like things to look nice and clean, I'm not a flashy guy. I believe in the saying "less is more" sometimes the things that look simplistic just have the greatest effect. And thanks for the back by the way, there was a lot of little stuff that I didn't notice at first, like the light cycles creating the border... that was brilliant by the way.

YES!!! I didn't notice them in the IMANDIX version, but those light cycles are such a great touch!

Das Boot

I'm hoping the real art for DAS BOOT improves, but I've started a custom just in case! Basically a recreation of the Complete DVD art, but from scratch:

Which means you want it with an Arrow theme instead of Criterion? *scratches head*. In the copyright section I did credit Arrow Films :p

Where is a good place to get some current BD templates? I have a couple but they're older templates and I don't have some of the studios.

Excessive googling was my answer. Despite how many times I asked on here nobody would give me any links <_< I'm still missing a standard bluray & dvd template which both got lost in a reformat :(

toxsic 04-12-2011 07:57 AM

nobody has a good hi res scan or custom of Legend Of The Guardians?

Or just, you know, make one.

I find it hard to get the dimensions right & measuring up spines - doesn't seem to work for me. Plus its handy to have pre-existing logos/copyright information

I also don't try to do things that specifically mimic studio releases though.

Neither do I but Criterion was an exception :p Found it by accident, used it for something they surely would've picked up if they licensed Battle Royale in the US. Plus its good experience points to try something new

When I was just starting out I used scanned covers as templates and then made my new version on top of them. It was good practice.

I was going to say, thats an easy and accurate way to do it
