Imandix doesn't support "collections" for blu ray discs. Hopefully that'll show up in an upgrade at some point.

No, it doesn't, and I am getting impatient for an upgrade that does.

In the meantime I've been using the "custom object" option. And then "edit object" to change the dimensions to Blu-Ray size and make the cases blue. You don't get the Blu-top on the covers, but it's a passable workaround.

You see it on all the "collection" images I've uploaded to this forum. Star Wars, Superman, The Rocketeers.

Cool tip. I just used DVD cases to get the idea of what the cases together look like. Worked well enough as I'm only using the free version anyways.

Those Star Wars covers are nice.

Why are you guys so dependant on those imandix covers? I vectored my own blu-ray case.

although it is a little dated now, oughtta fix up some stuff

and I manually scale each cover to it too, gets the best results than doing it automatically.

i've done this for 149 icons now, for my digital blu-ray collection

I like these very much. I see you used the same title treatment I did. Some people object to it, I think it adds some freshness to the logo.

Did you make the front collages yourself? They fit marvelously.

The backs are great too. Uncluttered and elegant. Me like.

Is that red hue on the Prequel Trilogy in the image or just a reflection of the case?
Yeah, I think the new logo is a nice compromise between old and new (and I still used the classic logo for the spines).

Yes I did make the collages! It was, oh so tedious, but I wanted unique compositions. You can see the two images complement each other in the order the character are.

And yes, there are red and blue hues on the actual covers.

Glad you like them!

Here is The World Is Not Enough TWINE without the explosion. What do you guys think, too simple or just enough? I'm trying to add an "oil sheen" effect to the globe.

I agree, Rusty. That looks way better. Would you please consider sending me that vector file?

Thanks.

I'm ready for the flames, but is anyone working on titles other than James Bond and Star Wars these days?

PLEASE don't get me wrong - these look incredible, and I am in awe of the talents you guys are showing. But with so many fun fan favorite titles popping up on the shelves, there are only so many times we can get excited about these two series.....

The talent in this thread is AMAZING!

I'm looking for a Band of Brothers cover. The set I ordered came in a damaged tin so I'm going to put them in a 6 disc case and need a cover for it! Any help would be most appreciated! :)

Hey. First off, great work everyone! Amazing custom covers that surpass the ones released officially.

Anyways, I just wanted to ask what is the best way to go about printing these? I would prefer to do them at home with my printer; Canon PIXMA ip2600. I would like to know which paper is best, and where can I get it from? Which settings are best for top quality, and which program makes it the simplest to print out?

As far as the program I use Undercover XP. Its free to download on the web.

Its as simple as dragging the image file into one of two windows (you can print two at once), selecting Blu-ray from the drop-down list and then sending it to print ("Print Both", "Print Left" or "Print Right"). The program will send it to the printer in the correct dimensions and even add crop marks outside the image to make it easy to cut the paper down to size.

Honestly, I think it's still a bit busy or muddled or something. The elements are all very similar to each other in color and tone. It's a cool idea, but I think the globe is the only "clear" element in the composition.

It's supposed to look grim & dirty, much like the movie because of its realism.

I have a special request for you insanely talented custom cover creators...

Can anyone make a prequel and ot trilogy blu ray cover in the style of this? I don't really like the toys on the back but I like the front trim and logo.
