Fantastic covers! If there was a slight suggestion, I would suggest moving the tag line "sleep kills" to below the razor hand and above Nancy's head. As it is, it's a bit lost in the glove's details.

Anybody have custom box set covers for followings movies? I would like to put them in one case, as opposed to multiple ones. Thanks in advance.

I often don't make a back, I just use them as icons for my movie collections. Rest assured when I make a back, I usually post it here.

The tag-line's position and style was discussed several times. In the end I wanted it at the top as that's where it is on the original poster. I think it gives the impression that Freddy is reaching through it to get to Nancy. It might have looked a bit "slapped on" if it was more central.

Rybev and I collaborated closely on the design for this, and this was the best compromise we could come up with. Ideally we'd have had more of the artwork to go on so that we could have the tagline above Freddy's glove. When we make covers we are at the mercy of whatever can be found online, and usually from previously cropped artwork like this. This UK art was particularily difficult to find sources for.

If anyone has access to a version of the artwork with more breathing room, please PM either Rybev or myself. Thanks.

ANyone thinking about an Enemy at the Gates custom ? I hate what they did to the cover I just got it with and would love something more befitting this piece.

A lazily-created cover for Tree of Life. I will be finishing it completely in the future, front and back with synopsis.

I think the "letter" style cover works best. This almost looks like it could be Taxi Driver.

Well, it's almost a direct shot from the movie. I found a poster that looked like that and I added a flourish to make sure no one, at least those with discernible eyes, would mistake it for Taxi Driver. Here's a high-res version of the cover: http://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr....w6kB6yTcbRlkU=

Thank you very much for the kind words. Much appreciated.

I was actually putting the finishing touches to these the other day, so here are the final versions.

Between these and Darren's version, we've pretty much depleted the available poster material for this film. Now Disney, you may contact us at any time to purchase these spec covers. I wish!

... and here's a better look at the Untouchables one that Rybev and I made, with the latest tweaks.
Collaborating on covers is fun. Most times two sets of eyes ARE better than one.

Most criterion covers use a contrasting color for the boxes on the front/spine/back. In fact, I can't think of seeing one that didn't.

From my collection, only Benjamin Button and Fear and Loathing don't.

Oh, and also going to be getting to any missed PMs soon!

B-E-A-UTIFUL COVER! All I can say too is... WOW!

I think what would be a nice compliment to THIS cover would be an UP IN THE AIR custom cover as well, a partner so to speak

I've been trying to save some shelf space lately, so I decided to make myself a Stallone collection. I know it might seem weird that I used the poster from Lock Up for the front, even though it's not part of the set. I just felt like it was a good picture and didn't want to put Rocky or Rambo on the front.
