I think I'll try to find it online, watch 1 or 2 episodes and decide myself.

Gunslinger Girl update:

Seems like it is now coming out 1 day after my birthday with the new delay

Anybody remember Battle Angel? Nobody mentions it anymore... :(

Man, that's old school. I loved the manga and thought the anime series was too short. I was they had made more.

Well most of the animes that are interesting to me come out aground December (where my birthday is 1 day after Christmas day) so yeah, I will have a bigger collection by 2010

Based solely on the shift in character designs, I find this difficult to believe, but I'll be watching it shortly to see for myself. I just re-watched the 1st season in preparation for Il Teatrino and found I had to up my rating from an 8 to a 9. The last episode is so sad and yet uplifting (but not in a trite way) at the same time. I can't wait to watch it for a 3rd time when I get the blu-ray.

Aren't they making a movie adaptation?

Also. No, it's not Blu-Ray per say, but still neat. Maybe 1.11 in Spring will have something similar?

So I watched WItchblade. Not as perverted as I thought it was, but I thought it was interesting.

EDIT: Oh man, just watched Ep. 3. I am officially hooked :D

OK, I have some issues with the "Devil May Cry" audio...

I think this is more DP choice than a technical issue maybe...

Why is it that sometimes the dialogue on the English dub is so low, you need to turn up the volume to hear what they are saying... the Japanese vocals - no problem.

Why is it that some demons with the gurgled voice is so hard to understand in the English dub - the Japanese vocal - no problem.

And the rock star episode.... the Japanese vocals on that scream...was hauntingly scary while the English dub was a short hiss....

Anyway, if you really love this series and are a hardcore fan, then this anime is for you. I'm a fan of the video games and really, that is my main reason for staying interested from beginning to end but the series was average at best and felt that it was another video game adaptation to anime with lost potential.

That's pretty much why I bought it in the first place. Besides that, I have no intention of viewing the english dub.

MOONPHASE 08-27-2009 04:45 AM

The only time I turned up the volume in the English dub(only language I listened to so far) was the closing song

Well, I might get Witchblade on bluray. Also, can anyone tell me if Samurai Champloo is good? I only watched about 5 minutes of one episode. Also, is the english dub for Afro Samurai any good (besides Samuel L. Jackson with his kick ass voice  )

Samurai Champloo goes without say that it's a must-have. Afro Samurai is great in English dub but keep in mind that Samuel Jackson does more then 1 voice

Samurai Champloo was an excellent series. I enjoyed it almost as much as Cowboy Bebop, but I liked Bebop's almost Film Noir moments more. Ninja Ninja from Afro Samurai nearly ruined the series for me, what an ANNOYING character.

Yeah Ninja Ninja is quite annoying especially in the Afro Samurai video game but to think that both Ninja Ninja and Afro are both Samuel L. Jackson boggled my mind the 1st time I found out about that

Never played the game, but whoever thought he was a funny or interesting character must hate humanity.

Download the demo then for Afro Samurai the game, Ninja Ninja narrates the whole demo of everything you do

Agreed, I do not think I could have made it to the end if I was not a fan of the series...

(Same was true with the Persona Series and Xenosaga Series)

Game was ok. Got old kinda quick..and I like hack 'n slash games. Graphics are nice. Worth playing once.

Afro Samurai anime isn't that good. Like the game, worth seeing once I guess.
