This was from Funi's panel at Anime Boston today:

17:25:48 <bay|AB|FUNi> Q: you had solicted a version of last exile... what happened to it?
17:25:56 <bay|AB|FUNi> A: that was a printing error on our end, we didn't have the rights
17:26:01 <bay|AB|FUNi> we're working on it and hoping to get it

That question was about the BD version of the first series. I thought the licensors were just making them wait. Hopefully we'll see it by the time they release Fam.

SO EXCITED. I was hoping they'd get the game cast back for the dub, and although there's some things in the anime I don't like compared to the game, this will be a day one purchase for me to support them. Totally makes up for the disappointment of the Vesperia dub not having most of the game voices.

I'm with you on this one! I guess its safe to assume they will release this on blu-ray?

It's been confirmed for a Blu-ray release since last September. :p

Aniplex USA announced today at Sakura-Con that it had licensed Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari! No word on how they are going to release it yet...I really really want these on blu-ray. They are also re-releasing Garden of Sinners but only on DVD...

Future Diary, oh man! I just started reading the manga and love the first volume. They're REALLY hard to come across for a good price-- I was REALLY lucky and got first volume for $2 at Barnes and Noble clearance, and I see it going now from like $100!!

I tweeted them asking about a Blu-ray release, so we'll see!

Awesome for Future Diary! I started reading the manga online a while ago and was planning to get it before Tokyopop shut down >_> wish it was licensed by another publisher. Actually, have any of Tokyopop's manga series being re-licensed? I haven't read any news so far.

Whoo hoo! Panty & Stocking is a fantastic, hilarious series. I'm a smidge worried about it getting censored since the leads look so young, but hopefully it makes it through intact.

Great news, though I haven't even watched the DVD copy I bought a few months back.:o

Only just saw the first episode of Okami-San and really liked it. I like how the narrator is heard by the characters, and makes funny jokes, too. Soon as my trade-in credit clears, I'm ordering it because of how nice the package looks!

Did watch the first 2 episodes of Cat Planet Cuties, and don't think it's too bad, but anyone who has seen it think it's worth continuing? I've stopped watch Dance in the Vampire Bund for now, and plan to watch an episode every so often; I mean, it's only 12 and I watched 5. Lol.

Signed up for the Funimation.com service, and even just my first day, the options and selections are much better than Netflix, so I'm definitely keeping the Funimation service!

I just finished watching samurai girls and it was good. I wish they would have made it longer and develop more on the characters but overall it was good. I know some people don't like it off the bat because of the animation but i thought that made it different than any other anime.

IdeaOfEvil 04-09-2012 03:22 AM

We already knew Panty/Stocking was licensed by FunI - No one asked when they would finally be releasing it though??

I can finish them by buying through conventions or Amazon. I know Volumes 1-2, 10+ are really high, but I have Volume 1 and 7, and 3-9 can be had on Amazon for anywhere from $2-$8 + $3 shipping, and that's about the same as the original retail.

Late Summer / Early Fall is the general window that we have at the moment. Nothing concrete yet.

Yep, it was a fun series. The Blu-ray's video quality also looks very good.

I'm holding out for another Right Stuf sale, Amazon drop or convention price when I go to Metrocon for about $30 new.

Oh, really? herpa derpa. I guess I should just wait for the anime, as that might be closer to being complete? I know it's streaming subbed on Funimation.com now, but I might wanna wait for a dub and catch up on other shows.

Still jelly ;)

That's a good deal, though! I'm upset that I didn't get Moribito at Megacon, because the Media Blasters booth was selling them new at $25 a piece! Definitely going to go back to them if they have a booth at Metrocon and seeing what else they have, and not missing out anymore!
