It's listed under the bonus features for some reason. It's there.

Well I went to BestBuy today and they didn't have any kind of sale going on :(. I really wanted to pick up Tekenkreet (did I spell it right?) or FMP.

Sagacious Koreo 10-26-2009 10:25 PM

It sucks that they didn't put more work into the original cut. I mean, I can live with 1080i but, C'mon at least give it a 5.1 DD.

I'm sure they will release the original cut later down the road so we all have to double dip :D

I've got Blood, GitS 2.0, and Clannad After Story (DVD) waiting for purchase =D

It's nice working where I shop.

Debating picking up Claymore tomorrow. I really want it, but it's also likely to hit Blu and I am so over double-dipping...

It's Tekkonkinkreet and it's one of the many titles that Best Buy didn't get permission to sell in stores. So sale or no sale you wouldn't be able to pick it up.

Clannad After Story is more then likely going to be a double-dip, well at least for me I know it will be. Buying the dvd for me is just to help out Sentai get some money so that we can see some Blu-ray releases from them.

Claymore probably might be on Blu-ray when Funimation makes the Viridian boxset(but just my guess).

its not advertised they just ring up 30$ off. The only advertisement is a small 1 inch by 2 inch yellow rectangle in the sales ad under new releases at the very bottom of the page (next to a pic of the wolverine blu)

mine had it on the shelves... but I already own it. I bought it used. I hate the art quality animation used for the people.

Are you sure it was the Blu-ray version or the dvd version you saw?

The animation was done by Studio 4°C which is the same company who helped do at least 1 of the episodes for both Animatrix and Batman Gotham Knight. They are also ones who did Halo Legends, Tweeny Witches, and Memories. Also some video games like Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies, Summon Night 3, .Hack//Link, Rogue Galaxy, Lunar Knights, and Jeanne D'Arc.

Tekkonkinkreet's art style is very close to the original manga. It's definitely odd, but charming too. The movie's story is anything but ordinary, so an unusual art style is appropriate.

I love the film up until the trippy near-ending sequence with the Minotaur. I can't stand it. I was hoping it would make more sense in the manga, but unfortunately it's nonsensical there too.

Speaking of trippy, I wonder how long FLCL will take to hit Blu. Only 6 episodes, they can fit the whole darn show on a disc.

Wasn't Brocolli the one who held the licenses for that? Are they still around? I remember when I had to deal with them for a screening of FLCL and another title they had for a party (mini-con) that I threw years ago.

Just another reason why we need to buy blu-ray anime instead of renting or downloading...

Agreed that's why I do my part but in Broccoli's case it also means their manga department as well.

not the PQ i mean the style they drew the characters. Very childish and low quality. How ever the back grounds were fantastic.

Infact there was 1 segemnt in BatMan and Animatrix that both were horrid animation... I think they drew tdk as a ghost like creature or something. I draw better then these guys LOL

I know that's why I mentioned the company responsible for the animation in Tekkonkinkreet because their style of animation is just different then what most people use and they kind of like that odd animation style.

older style anime has a whimsical feel to it. Well constructed but out dated and usualy bad dubbing LOL. These guys draw people as if they were made of fluid with no bones. they are all sloshy and flexible in unnatural ways. Faces are just odd and not right LOL. These guys need to lay off the drugs when they decide to work HAHA
