its really weird, im at the first "trap room" where you have to avoid the spikes coming up from the floor, im trying to do it without taking damage because its supposed to be a good spot to get the trophy for 6 levels without taking damage, but yeah, im not really into it so far, not sure if im going to play it again anytime soon

yeah, i dont know what it is with my wireless, but we have several PCs and 2 ps3's on our network, so that might be slowing it down, but the connection can be spotty at times, usually its pretty good, but this was apparently one of the slow times, it was looking like a 15-20 min DL

the only thing that looks like it might take awhile is earning all the credits to get all the trophies for buying all the clothes and instruments and stuff

You'll get that before you even get the endless setlist unlocked.

It was the most epic game for it's time. And still contends story and fun wise today. It's my FAV of the series. It changed RPGs for good.

no. The stories never intertwine. And the battle system will be completely different. Other than the name they're almost not even the same franchise.

ok, thats what it read like to me, but the guy i was boosting COJ last night with was saying the stories do kind of come together, but that didnt seem right, maybe there is just a bit of connection between past games? like setting or a character or something at all, or was this guy on drugs?

There's this character named Cid that's in all of the games. But it's only a reuse of the name, and it's more of an inside joke than anything.

You never get magic the same, or use tactics the same, the stories are on different worlds, with different bad guys, and different heroes.

The summons and animals are the same, but you don't need to know anything about their past to play this game. They're all completely stand-alone.

Plus the multiplayer is a trainwreck. It could be fun if it doesn't glitch, and not to mention if the hosts drops off instead of switching to a new host the game is over. That part is really crappy.

Just started the MP myself. Had the screen just freeze on me twice in about a 1 hour period.

yea I think these mp trophies are going to take me a while bc of the glitching, the fact that i suck at first person shooters, and it's difficult to boost in this game.

If you're going to play VII play Crisis Core as your 1st one to play in that part of the series, then FFVII, the Advent Children movie, and finally Dirge of Cerberus since that's pretty much the order of the series.

do credits we earn count in a private? if then we could sorta boost by letting one guy get killed over n over n taking turns then getting enough credits to buy good guns

idk i havent touched the private games

Not sure, but I would assume that if the trophies dont unlock in private matches then you probably wouldnt gain any credits playing private matches. But yea the good guns would definitely be a plus. I'm tired of my shotgun not wasting someone on the other side of the level :p.
