How much compound did you end up putting on the CPU and GPU? Also did you spread it or put it on as beads and let the heatsink spread it when you put it back on? Both videos that guy does show it different ways, his reassembly video shows it as 5 beads of the arctic 5 on it while his original fix video that you linked shows him spreading it with a card. What is the better application?

I put a small line across one side, then used an old credit card to spread it evenly across.

well hello there folks, nice to see you all again, i see xerios has resumed control of the leaderboard, my apologies that the updates werent coming very often for awhile there, my activity on the site in general has really fallen off since my work blocked it, and i got super swamped with stuff outside of work, ill try to be around as much as i can, but i think its probably best that xerios is running things again, thanks for lettin me run it for the time i did though, and for not giving me TOO much crap about it *coughexceptforstephiecough* :D

so my friend comes over and I ask him to play Transformers WoC with me so I can get about 4 trophies I need; play co-op, competitive co-op, beat autobot on hard, and get 3 kills while downed in coop.

but no. teehee, no offline co-op. just online. :angry: I am getting so sick of forced online play. I just want to play the game I paid for and get some trophies. Why can't I have a friend sit next to me and play but a friend 3000 miles away is fine. It was bad enough with Burnout, but this is getting ridiculous.

I know I could try and find people in here to help me with all the online trophies I need but it just feels like begging people that don't care. (no offense, I just mean I'm not close with any of you)

whatever. I lent him the game, so maybe when I get it back I'll try some random co-ops just to get the trophies. :rolleyes:

why not just lend him the game and then you rent it, and both play from your own houses?

Well. Its working again....for now. Took me about an hour and a half to take it apart, reflow it, apply AS5, and put it back together again. Who knows how long it will last lol.

Lets see if I can break it again trying to finish up NCAA 10 lol.

Supposedly if it messes up again you can just do the fix again. The YLOD is ONLY related to the separation of the CPU/GPU from the motherboard. If it separates again you just need to do it again, but maybe heat it longer/hotter...

Flat. As it has been for the entire 2+ years Ive owned it.

Oh. Mine was standing up when it happened.. I was hoping yours was too as I could assume that was part of the issue... darn...

Hopefully platting G.I. Joe either today or tomorrow. This game is one of the most terrible games I have ever played and is aggravating me to no end.

Mine was flat also when it got the YLOD in a complete open cabinet

welcome to the 24 slot.. your competition is stagnant down there so i dont see a problem you getting to slots 15+ once you hit there though you kinda gotta stay on your toes to maintain the spot =P

Jam: in Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos, can that Elite Agent trophy be earned in multiplayer mode? I DLed the game last night and that's the only trophy I'm missing, and it happens to be the one you're missing too. Interpol MP later?
