This was the first time I had ever heard of anything like this so I was skeptical as well. Stereomike just told Xerios the same thing in the Killzone 2 thread.

Just got my GOW 2 plat:rock: Great game, loved it. Can't wait to play number 3 now. I thought challenge of the titans was a lot easier than challenge of the gods.

I'm having so many problems getting through the second challenge that I'd have to argue with you on that one. I get at least 2 kills and then I just get overwhelmed and get hit from every side and can't do anything. The closest I came was 7 kills.

I'm with you on that one... I HATED the GOW II Challenges.

this challenge took me about 4 freakin' days to complete. It was easier once i used the pinkish staff thing (no idea what it's called). then i just kept hitting triangle. that throws the enemies in the air and then stabs at them. the trick is to keep enemies away from each other. and once the quick guys with staffs come (no idea what they're called haha) there are smaller, weaker bland enemies that die with like, one hit in the air so try and kill them to get the 10.

good luck, and keep at it! took me a good 3 weeks it felt like to get the challenges done. but i finally have the plat (my only one ironically enough). don't worry about it too much, you'll get it :rock:

:eek:They just took me just over 90 minutes to do. On the second challenge my method was to hit them with my sword (was maxed out) until they were stunned. Took about 3 to 4 hits then hold down L1 and hit X to get them in the air and then killed them:)

Almost done with FFXIII and finally started BioShock 2!

other than Final Fantasy 1 on psp ive never played a FF game, when they say there are no Missable Trophies, does this mean you can fly back to any town and clean up something if youve missed it?

id like to know this before starting the game lol

finally got back to infamous last night, i am only 12000 XP away from the plat, i just have to grind it out, i need to check ps3trophies to see if there is a good side mission to get points on, so it wont take as long, but i should hopefully be able to finish it tonight

geez, thats weird, ive never been told anything like that in an online game, i suppose they can do that, but thats kind of overboard isnt it???

people are going to boost, its going to happen regardless... they added mindless map pack trophies for that reason, no creativity involved in there 3 map packs...

i fell asleep after work yesterday soo ill fire up killzone 2 today just to get used to the controls ill bang out some single player trophies (all of them accept Elite Difficulty, cause i hear thats more insane than world @ wars veteran difficulty....)

i didnt play world@war, but how did that campaign compare to mw2? thats the most recent single player campaign ive played, so its the most fresh in my mind

so did you buy the DLC pack on the PS store? it was the deal last week for the spring fever thing, i wonder when they update that? is it with the store update on thursday evening or do they do it earlier? if its later i can probably still pick it up on sale

no but it's ok. the majority of trophies can all be got after the game finishes and you do the save after credits. They can be got in the chap 11 area which you can go back to. chaps 1-10 can NOT be gone back to once you leave each one.

but unlike other FF's there are no treasures that can only be got in one chest in one area. everything can either be bought later on or synthized.

there is some SERIOUS grinding though. Money is stupidly hard to get in this one so you have to really fight over and over for drops to sell.

other than that should be easy for a trophy hunter like you.

I'm at 90 hours and I have 68% of the trophies. :o But I'm pretty sure I can plat it.

how long from start to finish is a mini ninjas plat, i traded to steve n he sent it back already, if its that easy maybe i should just go back and do it (i bought it when it came out but i was in a weird (drug addicted) phase of my life and never beat the game, gave up half way thru) now that things are different im thinking i should finish it but start a new game doing so

if you really sat down and did it, its probably a 12-14 hr plat, i did most of it in one day when i didnt go into work

It's one of the best games i've played in a long time. I LOVED the art and it was actually fun!

rafting wasn't that bad for me, may my second or third try. But yeah it was a great game fun little concept and the artwork was very cool. had a great feel with the art like Okami did. well not as cool as Okami but still.

I got both on the second try by watching the video. The only one that gave me trouble was the one where you have to use the one guy on every level, but I happened to know the level I didn't use him on so I got it when I replayed the level.

Anybody got any tips for the Batman combat challenges. I can never keep my combos going because I either get hit or Batman swings at air.

i had to go back for that one too, luckily i got it on the first level i tried, it was actually the snowball level, the area right at the bottom, i forgot to do it the first time i guess

try to start the challenge with all combo variation so you get a nice bonus (I think there is 8). And after that just try to make big combos.

Lots of practice to do.

Do you have to use the batclaw for the perfect combo trophy? Because half the time I'm pressing R2 he doesnt throw it. Completely irritating. I dont want to watch Batman hump the ground. :confused:

Yes, you have to, I recommand to start your combo with the claws, and then some can only be done after 5 hit so look for them at the right time. When you master that it helps a lot to get points.

That's the level I had to go back to as well. I just started the level, put him into the hat sled and ran over some of the bad guys and it popped up.

i figured it had to be that one since i was so frustrated with the game after about a billion times trying to get the snowball trophy that i just plain forgot to use him

the hardest combat challenge would be Shock and Awe..due to the time constraint..but for the others..remember to jump around..a lot if you're not strapped for time

try to take out anyone going for guns as they can easily ruin your combo string

don't let them surround you try to jump over them until you get behind them..jumping over them maintains your combo string, jumping at nothing doesn't.

don't button mash..that was my problem at first..later during the game I found that for a beat em up..the game isn't actually a button masher.


if you already have the combo upgrade that gives you a special after 5 hits..use it..especially against the dudes with the knife that block your punches if you don't stun them..cause once they block your punch your combo string is over

I got the w@w plat and killzone on elite is at least 10x harder. You don't even get sights, lol. You'll find yourself searching around for an iron sighted gun. I got up to the very end of the train on elite before my 60gb PS3 bit the dust. When I tried to copy my save onto my new 80gb it told me it's copy protected and can't transfer it:mad:. Needless to say I just gave up on it, I don't think I could have ever beat visari square on elite anyway.

The Sony PS3 Torne is out in Japan! I wonder if we'll get the device and trophies here! THAT would be bad ass!

I was told it couldn't work in the US because we have way to many service providers. The country's that have it have a national broadcast that they use for it.

Maybe the PS4 will have a CableCARD slot. That would let us use it as a dvr.

i fired up Final Fantasy 13 last night and Killzone 2... played FF first after work for a little over an hour n a half, enjoyed it look forward to continuing...

fired up killzone 2 just to be remindinded of it and yeh i fel confident that other than elite difficulty i can plat this game.. i kept using the scope cause in every game i use a scope and aim down sights, once i read online that its easier to fire from the hip i started doing that

got 2 trophies in each game last night

finished the infamous plat last night!

ill try and get it back in the mail this weekend xerios, and now, back to lego RB and WET! maybe some G force this weekend too

I have to try and get my 100% back in Magic Orbz. DLC is nice and all but I hate it when my 100% go down. :o

And the last lvl is stupidly hard. Its going to take me forever to get lucky enough to beat lvl24 of the jungle pack. Then I have to go back and try for the "skill" trophies. which are always bs because it's just more luck. Like kill the tigers using the cannons WITHOUT hitting anything else? are you kidding me?!
