I've thought since I started doing the leaderboards that if I cut out anyone that doesn't post we'd be down to top 20 or less.

but I don't follow every thread on the boards so they may post in other sections and other video game threads. but I agree this thread is only a handful of loyal posters lol.

I'm waiting on the penquins game to come in the mail today, and I'm still waiting on gamefly to send something else. I may have to do that tactic of contacting support cause I have 3 "mediums" and 2 "lows" and they haven't shipped a game in almost a week.

I should post more but I don't. Guess I'm too busy trying to cut down on my backlog. :o

Started Trine 2 today and only played 2 chapters but I have 47% of the trophies! :eek:

i have the ps1 disc but I might get it on psn too.

Actually got some game time in with the July 4th holiday.

Was able to connect to Motorstorm: Pacific Rift servers and started trying to get the online portion done now before the servers close on October 1st. Forgot how much fun the game is.

Started Terminator Salvation (easy so far) and Lego Rock Band (never will plat due with the 100% Final Countdown solo on expert) as well.

Hope to finish off Green Lantern this weekend if I have any free time to be on the PS3.

Took a break from the Mortal Kombat Vita grind, and have been playing Hot Shots Golf while at work. Love the game, but will take a loooooong time to get the plat.

My PS3 hasn't been able to sync my trophies ever since I had to reformat...I haven't gotten that many trophies since then anyway though.

Beat Mr. Freeze and couldn't BELIEVE I finally did it. When I beat him finally I was like this:


Now I'm on the Joker fight with Mr. Hammer or whatever as I'm trying to get the cure back that Harley stole from Freeze's safe.

was ripping through the penguins game tonight then hit the first level of the last world. no idea what to do. only 'private can get across but then he needs rico and no way to get rico across.

and of course since it is a "childs game and soooooo easy" there are no walkthroughs so I can't see what i'm missing.

let me know when you get to that part and what to do. i really don't want to play this more than a few hours tomorrow to finish. sheesh.

Usually when a ps3 reformats and you try to sync trophies for the first time since the reformat it is attempting to "download" all your trophy info back to your ps3 so that's why it seems to take so long.

At least, that's what I think anyways...:rolleyes:

How do you post this... I cannot seem to figure out where my card is on that site.

i dont' think i saw a conveyor belt. the lvl starts with you on one of four concrete islands. everyone can jump to the one straight ahead but the ones on the far side are too far for even skipper to hover too. only private can use the pipe to get to one but it is a one way trip he can't come back. once there you need rico to shoot boots at the boxes in the way.

Edit: i figured it out. rico can shoot farther than I realized. now I'm just trying to find the last two chameleons I need. first one in two diff lvls. ugh.

you have to ask someone specific on the forums over there to make it for you.

I suppose one way you could do it, would be to delete everyone from the leaderboard, then anyone who posts in the thread regularly can re-post their card and can be added, then we have a list of current active posters?

as for the leaderboards I've thought of that after all about 1/4 of the people haven't changed % in 6 months, and about half the list never posts in here.

but if we cut them all out, we'd be lucky to have a top 20. :)

and the thing is with that top 20, there would be no movement. look at me I just spent 3 months on gamefly platting at least 10 games in such a short time and I barely moved up one rank. and supermechgozilla is right on my tail.

so those with lvl's in the lower teens might have some movement with each other but that would go fast. then you would have no sense of accomplishment. and you'd stop bothering to come into the thread, and then the list would get even smaller. lol

I figure for the time being let it go, it's more fun to pass a bunch of people who never level and feel like you are moving up than to sit and stare at the top 5 all lvl 28 and higher. :shrug:

It's a struggle for me just to break into the top 25. Can't imagine how it is for someone trying to get into the top 10. :eek:

Plat #36: Trine 2

Surprisingly, I didn't enjoy Trine 2 as much as Trine 1. They removed the item collectibles for poems & posters which I thought was lame. And it felt too much of a puzzle game rather than platforming. Trine 1 was more balanced. :rolleyes:

I'll be honest I never finished trine2. :o you get the plat a few lvls before you finish. I know I should go back but I have to admit I'm not a gushing fan of the trine series. Its cool and all, but nothing special. at least for me.

ATTENTION LEADERBOARDS!

Rules that have been in place since the beginning will start to be enforced. Yay or Nay who agrees we should start trimming the leaderboards based on participation in this thread? Cutting out members that have less than 15 posts, and also those that do not continue to contribute in a helpful real manner. You don't have to post constantly but you should contribute to the thread, give help, ask for help or just talk about something fun.

I'll give this a week and see who responds. if no one does then we can probably cut them cause they won't even know. :p

Eh, I think what you said earlier regarding the issue is pretty much my opinion. Cut out a bunch of people and you'll have large gaps and stagnation and then (imo) they're just completely useless.

Out of 60 people, you'll lose 13 from 15 posts or less rule, and depending on the "continue to contribute" interpretation probably another 10-20 more.

My .02 is leave it as it is. I will say though I wouldn't be against some new rule for newcomers so they don't post-and-run.

If you cats are really serious though, perhaps a mod can throw a poll up for this thread? Don't know if that's feasible or not.

I would be all for taking off the inactive members who are in the leaderboards. Plus I mainly use this support group to find other BLU members who want to play online with some of the many games that we have in common. Unfortunately finding time/desire to visit (or revisit) some games becomes an issue. I have not really seen more than a handful of people requesting help with games, and not too much (if any) updating of the second/third post of multiplayer/online games that people are looking for 'boosting' help with.

And do I have to request an updated card from that other site now? Or can we still use the YGC one?

There's no real way to keep up with who participates and who doesn't... Sometimes people go out of town for months at a time and don't participate so they shouldn't be removed... Some people just started posting and haven't even made it to 15 posts yet, so there are always going to be exceptions.

But to me I don't see how the leader boards are going to get stale. Does anyone really care about how they stack up against people that they don't even know or that post and run? I can look on many other sites to see other people's cards and how they're doing compared to me.

I like this thread because we're all friends, beyond gaming, but we can always see how well we're doing against each other on the first page.

We had this same situation a while back, maybe when Xerios was the OP and we cut a few people out. They were always welcome to have their card added back if they came back.. But it's all a lot for the OP to keep up with for people that aren't even part of the thread...

I don't think it needs to be a rule that you need to post daily, but if you post here a few times and run there's no need to keep their card on the boards.

Finally got around to playing Assassins Creed II. I LOVE THIS GAME! Wow do I love this game.

I'm at the part where I'm chasing the templar guard and he disabled the bridge so I can't quite jump across...trying to figure out what to do. lol.

Been playing this almost all day.

UGH! Only 45% done with Uncharted Golden Abyss. I'm so over this game. lol... I liked it a lot the first time I played it but I haven't liked the crushing run as much this time around. I think i'm just over HAVING to beat games multiple times... FYI devs this does NOT add to the fun factor nor does it prolong the enjoyment of the game.

I don't mind what's done to the leaderboard, I only wanted to be added to see how I compared to everyone else!

I use it for a little healthy competition and to keep me trying for Platinums!

EDIT: Working on The Amazing Spider-Man Plat, the reason it's taking some time is because I end up just swinging around lol!

I hear you Jam. you're right it would be crazy to try and really track things and posts just for the leaderboards. To be honest I posted that message to try and see if any of the 15 posters read the thread just don't feel they have anything to say. I check this thread multiple times a day but I don't post every time.

I'm just giving them a chance to say "hey I'm still here." after a week or so I'll go back to that post list (i bookmarked it) and cut out the low posters.

like you said if they want back in they just have to ask.

I'm down with whatever you do with the front page. I very rarely look at it, I like coming here for the general talk about games and the off topic stuff. I only compete against my best mate who plays on a 360. We compare total trophies earned for me against his total achievements earned.
