3 and counting!

Just ordered Predator: Ultimate Hunter Edition $7.99

Last not ordered Time Bandits $5.99

And Ronin$7.99

Loving Prime benefits. Don't need to put them all together and get up to $25 to get free S&H. Find it, buy it, send it! No S&H! No tax! Only sad thing is I must wait for X'mas package from Ma to get them. Oh well!

Travis,

Congrats on the latest additions. Of course you could fly home to get the discs, but that would more than offset any savings. ;) :D  :ohnoes: :panic: JK

Because of wife being knocked up, this is the first year I am not going home. I really want to and have half a mind to leave her alone for a couple weeks. But I have a feeling that when I came back I'd have nothing to come back to.:(

I'd kill for some cheap Mexican food, a real pizza, a roast beef sandwich, a banana cream pie, or even a Twinkie and a A&W Root Beer. Also a piece of fish that didn't have its tail, head and skin still on would be nice.

How are this week's sales treating you so far?

It's nice to do something like that, you should do it again sometime soon ;)!

I haven't bought anything yet. Black Friday has started on Amazon.co.uk aswell but so far there hasn't been anything interesting for me. Wich isn't that bad since I have to save $$ haha. I have been spending alot last few months and December is going to be expensive aswell. I also want a new bed wich will cost me alot of money aswell. :(

So will probably not buy anything for a while, only Inception wich is on pre-order. ;)

Good Day Travis,my Friend. Its nice to have a chance to drop in and say hello.

I noticed you had asked if I had any movie recommendations(from a post you left on my thread).
I am not 100% sure what you do and dont already own(as your collection has grown by leaps and bounds over this year).

I dont see many titles on the Black Friday Sale Calendar they have on Amazon.Depending on the price and if you like the show at all, The Complete Set of Lost could be a wonderful deal.

I would also throw in the complete set of BSG if it is on sale anywhere. They have the first two Ice Age's on sale(which I enjoyed as well as number 3)
And Mad Men could be a show worth getting and watching for the unreal pricing per season.

I watched Kung-Fu Hustle for the second time today. It is one of the best comedies(and martial arts movies)I have ever seen(Worthy of its forum review and actually even better).

It has Cantonese as a Loseless LPCM 5.1 Audio track to choose from(as well as English Dolby Digital).
Not sure about the price, but if its around $10.00 or less I would recommend it without hesitation.

The PQ on that Predator only recv'd a 2 of 5 rating here, so I'm a bit leery of getting that (though the AQ had a decent number; 4 of 5)

For an older movie I think Predator's transfer was okay. At $8 it's really worth it IMO.

In Taipei, I'd always make a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving weekend. Used to get them at Costco. Went to Costco a couple weeks ago, no turkeys this year. :( Where we are now, it is almost impossible to find a turkey. I am still looking.

Todd,

Thanks for dropping by. I know what you mean about my collection. Had 99 BDs on Jan. 1 this year. Discovering Amazon.co.uk has really made it grow, a few Union Jack's next to my BDs, and most are next to boxed sets.

BSG is a collection I would like to have someday. But even on sale it is not cheap. I know it is worth it, and I have seen all the episodes on DVD, will get it someday for sure.

Hope you are having a good Black Friday Week!

Awesome! I'd do one Alien film a night.

I watched all the special editions/directors' cuts first. Just watched the theatrical cut of Alien on Monday. Some special features last night, there are a ton!

Enjoy! You'll love them. The clarity of the picture and sounds in the opening sequence of Alien gave me goosebumps. I wonder if it looked or sounded that good in theaters.

Off to work. Have a great evening!

What's up Travis? Heading to Wally world for some $5 blu's on Friday. I have got to get the Alien boxed set ASAP.

Luckily, Wednesday is pretty easy for me. Ya! 2 more days left!

Saturday morning here I come! I hope to be up early shopping for BDs. Walmart is supposed to have a lot at $5. Will Amazon?

Still no Alien? Shame! Buy it!:whip:

I started watching the special features. Haven't made a dent yet.

Tonight, The Pacific! Never seen a single episode, very excited! Loved Band of Brothers and have seen it on DVD and BD almost 10 times at least.

No desire to go shopping on Friday. Over a decade ago, I worked at Circuit City on Black Friday, it was fairly nuts, but made good money that day. If I wasn't being getting paid, I'd have been at home. Have fun at Wally's and don't fight with any old ladies, they are vicious!

Dang it! I forgot The Pacific as well. :( I did get a few blu's this week, but I really need those two. :ohnoes: I am Shame.

I am tempted to buy The Pacific now. Not sure if I have the patience to wait for the price to drop some more.

I wanted to wait. Since I haven't seen it, I was trying to tell myself, "You cannot miss it, since you don't know it!" BoB went down to 17 pounds at Amazon.co.uk after a year. Wanted to wait a year, but gave in. Ordered it along with Sons of Anarchy. Also, got my Alien set from the UK.

Rome is at a great price now at amazon.co.uk. I just rewatched it last week, 3rd time on BD! Love that show! The last couple episodes of season 2 are kinda...Meh! They must have known that they were canceled, so had to tie up some loose ends. Wish it would have been more popular, :( And must have cost a fortune to make.

Great mini-series, too bad the blu-ray got the short end of the stick. This deserves better but being 21 yrs old & from a TV mini-series, I guess the powers that be didn't give it the proper treatment.

It is sad when favorites aren't treated well. Not too worried for the price. Much cheaper than DVD set ever was, I am sure, and will also be better quality as well.

Just checked, DVD is $14.99 was as low as $11.50. Love getting BDs cheaper than their DVD counterparts.
