Sorry to hear about your gov't donation. Never seen a police officer pull anyone over here. Can drive as you wish, police only get involved after an accident. If they started pulling over people for speeding they'd never have time for anything else. Here, the right away goes to the biggest or more aggressive vehicle, pedestrians don't even rate.

Good evening, HTG.

It is indeed snowing here. It's actually a rain/snow mixture. I'll tell you why it's raining/snowing. Because I got a carwash today. Yep, without fail. All any drought plagued country needs is for me to wash my car there. Rain will fall within a matter of minutes.

Your dog rocks! What's his/her name?

Well I don't have to, I want to.:o But there are catalogue titles that are missing from my collection that in most circles (true collectors like yourself and many others on this site), would be considered criminal for not having. Even in a best case scenario at $10 a pop (wishful thinking), we're still talking $800.00! And let's not forget to add in the upcoming releases of new movies, the expenditure is ongoing!:( I know it's a part of the hobby. I just do not want a repeat of what I did when I purchased DVD's. At one time, I had over 1000 DVD's! Half of them were blind buys. 1/3 were easily movies the after one view were recipients of the "Never will view ever again award"!

Luckily thus far, I have been more selective about the movies I choose. I would say all of the titles in my collection has been or will be viewed more than once. "The Fall" and the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" will most likely never be seen again.

"The Fall" was a real disappointment.

[Show spoiler]IMG]http://images2.blu-ray.com/movies/covers/1010_large.jpg[/IMG]

It came out when those mind twisting, dark fantasy movies where in abundance,... Pans Labyrinth, Mirror Mask, The Spiderwyck Chronicles, Ink Heart, The Bridge to Terabithia, etc,.... I really thought it was going to be interesting. The cinematography was impressive, but the story just didn't work for me. Have you seen the movie?

What's up, Lawrence?

I hear ya. I don't have a lot of movies that are considered "must haves" in my collection either. My collection pales in comparison to others. Hell, I haven't even broken the 200 mark. It's easy to forget how much we have invested in the movies themselves. If you're like me, I'll buy a title one week, maybe two titles the next and some weeks nothing. So over time it's really adding up, but it's so spread out, it doesn't seem like much.

Never seen The Fall. I vaguely remember seeing commercials for it. But it was quickly forgotten.:D

Thinking about it, the reason my blu collection is so small, I only buy movies I know I want to watch again. Which is mainly action/adventure, sci-fi and comedy. Or of course kids movies, which I enjoy just as much. I can tell you this, The Notebook is not nor ever will be in my collection.:p

Good evening, Mike.

I ended up with chicken Pad Thai for dinner. Not quite the BBQ I had envisioned.:D

I've heard good things about Scream 4. Looking forward to your thoughts on it.

Have fun and don't get too scared!:p

Seems like all I do is give. What are the taxes like there? Do you pay a property tax or have any type of sales tax?

I like it. Slow traffic and pedestrians git outta the way!:D

Taxes are very low. No sales tax. Problem is here consumer goods are generally expensive. Almost everything is imported. No more "Made in Taiwan" now it is China. Also have about the population of Canada crammed into an island half the size of Nova Scotia, and the center of the island is mostly mountains and no one lives there. A bit crowded.

Life is comfortable here, why I have been here for 12 years. I don't work too hard and I can keep myself and my wife happy so it's all good. Sure I'd like to have a lot more disposable income, but who wouldn't.

Well me got lucky again and missed any damage from the passing storm.

Darn you, you wash your car and everybody in the USA gets rained on. Stop that! :talktothehand:

The dog is a he and his name is (my wife gave him his name) Shelby GT Mustang. And the name sort of fits, he has two speeds stopped and full speed. He is the third Rat Terrier that we have owned over the years.

That about sums it up. Sounds like a nice, albeit crowded, place. Keep on rockin'.

We awoke to snow on the ground today. So I thought it's time to head somewhere warm. So I took my kids to Rio... in 3D.;)

Have a great weekend!

We had snow on the ground this morning and my sons track meet was canceled. I knew I shouldn't have washed my car yesterday.:duh: Lol.

I like the dogs name, and the car. Let me guess, you and your wife both drive the Shelby GTs? Lol. Those Rat Terriers are little packages of pure energy. Keeps ya on your toes.

Did you make it to Scream 4 today? If so, how was it?

Have a great rest of the evening. I'm about ready to fire up the ol' DVR and watch the new Burn Notice movie. The fall of Sam Axe.

Hopefully, I will be able to procure a new Rotel multi-channel amp this week. I don't see this project being completed until the end of the month. It will be worth it though.
BTW, how's the little angel doing?! And how are you doing?!
